How do you catch a pet boa constrictor outside?

This is best left to a professional who knows how to handle escaped reptiles without harming them. However, here are some tips if you want to try this yourself. In general, you will need at least one strong mobile person per two feet of snake. Once you locate the constrictor, one person needs to catch the snake just behind the head. As soon as this person has the head immobilized, everyone else needs to hop on at their designated position (one about every two feet, pin the snake straight down) to keep the constrictor from twisting its body around. Once the snake is immobilized, working as a team you can lift the snake up and place it back into a secure container to be transported back home.

if his tank is to small he we be feeling claustrophobic and threatened by any body who goes to touch him. or he is hungry, but there could be some other cause so i recommend you get him to a vet as soon as possible. hope i helped. but was he due to be fed when he started acting all weird? if so he will be hungry. but if you feed him and he sees your hand while you feed him he will associate your hand with food so that could be why he goes to strike. this is not a fake answer it has happened to a friend, he could be sizing you up to eat you so don't leave him unattended out of his cage if he has one but if all this continues even after you've fed him i would recommend getting him to a vet because they can tell you what to do in this situation.

The common name is shedding, or sloughing. The technical term is ecdysis. This is what turns the snakes eyes a milky blue-white. After a few days, the snake breaks the skin (usually at the mouth) and crawls out of it - turning the skin inside-out in the process.
