If a turtle has food stuck in it's throat then put him in some water, if that doesn't work after 20 minutes then get him to the emergency vet. Even if that vet does not really treat reptiles in an emergency they should help.

Once the eggs have been laid the mother covers them with sand to conceal the nest. The warm sand acts as an incubator. Incubation periods can vary depending on the area of beach where the eggs have been laid. Average time for incubation is two months. The mother turtle's safety is at risk when she leaves the ocean to nest.

It's not toxic but like any feces it can carry diseases. Always wash your hands after coming in contact with it.

Because they are not very energetic when alive, there may not be obvious signs that your pet has passed away. Plus, there is often a lack of warning signs when your turtle is ill, making it difficult to tell that he might pass away soon. Gently prod your turtle, with a soft stick or with your finger, to see if you can elicit a reaction. If your pet moves at all, then he is definitely alive. Still, if he seems slower or more lethargic than usual, he may be sick.However, a complete lack of movement can indicate that your pet turtle is ill or has already died.

every turtle grows so i would suggest getting a big cage and any turtle u can afford

o you will need the water to be over the turtle because turtles can only swallow under the water / i feed my baby snapper raw meat like fish i catch out the lake you will need a heat lamp so it can bask they dont bask much and dont make the water realy deep they can drown you can use decorated rock mud dirt sand there favorite is sand anything exept stuff that can kill it like gasoline

In essence you really aren't supposed to interfere with nature and the way it works or things turn out. However, I would bury them as long as you do not smother them but cover them just enough for the babies to emerge and find their way to the ocean.

Generally turtles are not the cheapest pets to have, especially to set up. To maintain a healthy turtle's life it needs to have good nutrition, clean tank water, plenty of room, UV light, a basking area and a basking lamp. This is quite expensive to set up for the first time, but is relatively cheap to maintain. NOTE: it is often easy to buy your new baby turtle with a tank suitable for it's adult size, to avoid having to pay a lot more money when buying a second tank.

Turtles living today are not the same species living at the time of the existence of dinosaurs. And today, BIRDS, are the form in which dinosaurs survived.

you feed them, maybe live fish, turtle and teripin pelets/food. They also like live blood worms.

Go to the store and buy it proper food. Some snappers may not like what you are feeding them and babies in particular may not be too fond of chowing down a whole worm. My baby snapper would not eat anything I gave it until I went to Petco and bought it Reptomin and Reptotreat for baby turtles. He loves it and you should give it a try because it has all the nutrients that your baby snapper will need. And just so you know, if you do choose to keep this turtle a lot of dedication goes in to raising it. Good luck ;)

1) Vitamin A deficiency - add liver, green vegies & fish to your turtles' diet. 2) Ammonia burns - poor water maintenance can let the ammonia level build up. It is illegal in every state of the U.S. to sell a turtle under the length of 4 inches (law processed by the FDA, U.S. Food and Drug Administration) do the the ease of Contracting sellmonellosis (selmonella) so if the turtle is 4 inches or over it should be fine.
