Can English DVDs play on French DVD player?

Europe is within a single region for DVD coding so there should normally be no problem playing any region two coded disc in a French player. European region discs also support sub-regions so it is possible that a UK market disc may not play on players even within other parts of Europe.

Note that France uses a different color encoding system than the rest of Europe. Although the vast majority of television equipment in France will support PAL as well as the French SECAM system, it might just be worth checking to make sure that the equipment will handle a PAL disc.

Most music programs like iTunes and Windows Media offer both of these features, so this should relate to all of them.Rip = means to put the music files from the CD onto your computer's hard drive. For instance when you load a CD into your computer using iTunes or Windows Media player and you want to add the music to your "Library" you choose, Rip. This will take the music from the CD and "Rip" it to your hard drive.Burn = means to take the music files from your computer, and record them on to a blank CD. How do you play a CD on an MP3 player?

Playing a CD on an MP3
  • You could download the CD want on your computer.
  • Then transfer the CD to your mp3 player.

Quick lesson: Audio Cd is not usually in a format that an MP3 player recognizes. So...you need to change the CD (songs) into MP3 format.Kind of like translating from spanish (CD player understands) into English (MP3 player understands). The easiest way, I believe, is called "ripping" and can be done with Windows Media Player (WMP). Play the CD using WMP and the top toolbar has a "rip" function. Just under "rip" is a tiny arrow...click the down arrow and a sub-menu pops up. select mp3. should see a checkmark by it when selected. Now play the CD and press rip and WMP should translate (copy) the audio CD into MP3 format. If you hook-up your MP3 player beforehand...you can "rip" directly to it. Just FYI...I copy all my music into MP3 format when putting it on the computer. There are slight quality issues, but it just makes things esier later. This is just me...And there are other and probably better ways to do it. But this is quick and WMP is already on my computer (free). Good Luck!

Can DVD's be played on the computer?

Yes, and no. Depends on the DVD and the capabilities of your video card.

Some DVD's have no security encryption and will record over fine. Some others use the Macrovision system and others will use a `digital rights management` encoding scheme.

Other than the fact that it's illegal to do it, a lot of people still do, and if caught, it apparently has nothing to do with your `intention` at the time of copying the DVD.

As usual, there's a way around most anything if you're willing to spend the time doing your research.

How do you take apart a CD player?

Find an old CD that you don't listen to and whose case is in better condition than the one you're trying to replace.

Put your fingers under the part that holds the disk and pry upwards. Move your fingers down the length of the case until the bottom has popped out.

Take out the paper backing in the CD, but remember which way it went in. Also do the same to the cover "booklet" and the CD itself.

Put them in a separate area or throw them out and repeat steps 2-5 with the new CD. Also put the parts in a separate area.

Place the paper backing of the new CD into the back side of the old CD case, then snap the old disk holder into the case.

Is a blank music CD-R different from a blank Data CD-R?

It depends:

For computer CD-Recorder drives: No. They are exactly the same. However, when you burn the CD you can choose to burn it as a music CD or as a data CD.

For stand alone CD-Recorders: Yes. Stand alone CD-Recorders will only record on a CD, that has its Digital Audio Music format. Stand alone CD-Recorders are very picky about which CDs you use. Stand alone CD-Recorders will not record on a data CD-R.

A blank Music CD-R is designed for stand alone CD-Recorders.

A blank data CD-R is more designed for computer CD-Recorders.

However a computer CD-Recorder can either record on a Music CD-R or a Data CD-R.

Can you connect a DVD player to your PC tower to view dvds via my pc monitor?

With today's computer monitors, that's very unlikely to work without a lot of supporting electronics. One of the main reasons is that computer monitors don't usually use standard scan rates. Unless you can find an old composite monitor, like a Commodore 1705 which has a composite video input, and providing the DVD player also has a composite video output, your chances are very slim.
