How do you remove the action from a Baikal superimposed shotgun?
Remove the two screws from the recoil pad. There will be a long hole leading to a screw head that attaches the stock to the receiver. Turn the screw counterclockwise until loose. The receiver should slip easily apart. Simply reverse pproceedure to reattach. You'll need a standard long shank screwdriver for the stock/receiver screw and a Phillips for the recoil pad.
The receiver is completely modular and nothing will "fall apart" after the two parts are separated...
Much depends on maker and grade of your gun. The rib of your gun should haveing writing to the effect of FINE Extra Fine Diamond ect. Give us the proof marks and symbols found under the barrels and on the action flats. You can find these when you remove the barrels. Small guage will bring exta money no matter the grade. Condition is also very importand, does the action still show any case color,is the stock sound with strong checkering ect. A low grade in 90% shape will bring more than a top grade at 10%.

What is the value of a Charles Daly double barrel shotgun?
That would depend on condition, barrel length, whether or not it was imported by KBI ( tells age ), and most importantly what guage it is. The smaller guages are worth more. I paid $600 for my Miroku BC Charles Daly Model 500 20 Guage in good to excellant condition and would have possibly paid twice that if he had asked for it. I will add that if its an older German gun the value can get up there. The more info the better the answer.

What is the value of a 12 gauge Charles Daly Superior Miroku?
I recently purchased a used 12 ga Charles Daly Superior Skeet shotgun from Gander Mountain. It is in very good (90%) condition. I paid $600 US for it and I consider this to be a fair price for this particular gun. As a national chain sporting goods store, Gander Mountain uses fair market value to retail all of it's gun offerings, both new and used. This particular shotgun would have sold for about $300 new in 1965 when Charles Daly started to import these Japanese guns which closely mimic the Browning Citori (also made by BC Miroku). Citoris were also much less expensive (although considerably more expensive than the look-a-like Daly)in the 1960's and have also gained in value on the used gun market as has the Daly.
What is the value of a BC Miroku 12 gauge shotgun Sn 549996 or is this a Charles Daly Firearm?
I can't give you a clear answer if Miroku made the shotgun or not. However, may I offer a comment. Miroku has made shotguns for 150 years. From all I can gather, they are a high integrity organization and have made high quality guns for companies like Ithica, SKB,Weatherby,Charles Daly and Winchester. If you have a gun made by Miroku, I don't care what company has its name on it, you have a fine gun. Excellent design, fits and finishes. Durable and dependable. Sleek and good traditional looks. Good hunting.

Pyrodex or similar powders which equal the characteristics of black powder may be used.
Significant danger to the shooter and the gun will result if smokeless powder is used. Note many folks who know that their Damascus barrels are sound shoot modern shells through their guns. I have shot thousands of Winchester AA Feathers through my Damascus Daly. These shells have lower pressure that many black powder rounds. With a gun this fine you should join the DoubleGun BBS a place where old guns are talked about every day and shot alot. Also check out the German Gun Collectors website. Never shoot every day wally world shells but modern low pressure shell can be found without much trouble.
I assume it has a single non-selective trigger, beavertail forearm and a shallow vent rib. If so, that gun was made by Beretta and is similar to their GR series. It is worth $800 to $1,500 depending on condition and buyer.
I also have a Charles daly empire grade 20 gauge side by side, single non selective trigger, and extractor serial no. 746. my gun has 28" barrels and is choked IM/M or three stars and two stars. I have researched this gun for months and the markings that will tell the tell is the gun makers stamp. should be on the barrels. there should be an oval with a PB or VB if it is a Beretta or Berandilli respectively. it could be a Sabatti. there also should be markings for the manufacture date XXIII or VVIII etc. if its Beretta you can go to their web site. hope this helps, Please post what your marks are. Mine is not legitable. all I can see is half the oval and a B, valve will be determined by manufacture.
