It's on the passenger side on the front of the shifter console, the plate will pull off and then you will see the fusebox.

You take the plastic cover off. Take out the motor mount, replace the four spark plugs to a .040 gap and waaa-la! Wes Writes: Unplug the plastic cover, unbolt the cover small #10 socket, lift up... plug boots may stick a little. Use a spark plug socket (has plug holder in socket) and about a 6 inch extension. Unbolt and replace each plug, install new plugs with anti lock compound on the threads and anti stick plug boot compound on the upper body of the plugs. Press down cover over plugs and make sure everything is lined up good, keeping pressing while you re-tighten the #10 bolts down, do not overtighten because you can strip the threads on the upper engine. Should only be slightly tightened down when you feel pressure go only another 1/4 turn, work in zig zag pattern to get the plastic cover evenly bolted down. Plug it back up. No motor mount needs to be removed. Bosch +4's do not need to be gapped, great plugs but they are a little high dollar. This won't stop your vehicle from hesitating and almost dying at stops... you need to pull the throttle body off and clean it with Throttle Body cleaner to remedy this. Get all the black carbon gunk off of it to free the sticking throttle plate. Also remove the sensor just above the TB mount area... just unplug and twist to you and pull up... spray TB spray down the hole. It will remove the built up gunk that has blocked the air passage for your sensor. If your check engine light is lit.... just unplug your neg battery cable for several minutes. Reattach and your ready to roll. This should remedy check engine light issues, but if not try removing the O2 sensor and clean with TB spray re-install. Unplug battery again to reset code. You will probably notice the code will stay off for maybe a week before it starts acting up again. You probably need a new O2 sensor... very expensive part. As with nearly all automatic transmission the fluid goes in through the dipstick tube.

dealership price estimate 640$ plus installation comes to around 980$ but if you do it yourself its just 4 bolts and your good. For good steps on installation check cobaltss.net or any questions, if you ask a question there they will answer it completely

twist the gas cap on tighter. It way take a few minutes (up to 10 or so) of driving and the light will go out. If this doesn't work, you may need a new gas cap.

You must take it to the dealership, the 2007 Cobalts from base LS model and up all have chips in their keys and unfortunately this is not something you can avoid going to the dealership....

Turn the car off. Turn the key forward to run (the position right before you turn it to crank) Press both the Info and Arrow/Enter button on the steering wheel at the same time and then release. Press info until you get to RESET OIL LIFE and then press Arrow/Enter and it should say ACKNOWLEDGED then your good to go.

Means you're giving it too much gas and the tires cannot get traction. Slippery surface. Or, if it's on all the time, you need to take it to GM and get them to find out why the sensor is on.

if you want to use your stock head unit to run your subwoofers you can go to any car audio shop and buy a converter that will splice into your rear speakers and convert the signal to use the RCA cables for your amp.

I have 2008 and had same problem the ignition had to be replaced was really fast less than an hour they did it.

The owners manual said that the car is only supposed to be towed flat, given that its an automatic transmission. The manual is not to be towed flat or used to tow anything. Hope that helps

hi, i have a 07 cobalt ls and replaced the door speakers and dynamatted the hell out of it. this is how i took the door panel out. first, there are 2 panel retainers on the outside edge of the door panel. they are real easy to take out. second, there are 2 sets of screws that are covered, the first is behind the door handle, there is a little notch, take a flathead screwdriver and pull the cover off, behind the cover there is one Phillips head screw you need to take out. the second set of screws are in the cup area of the door. again, there will be a cover you will need to take out. be careful not to break the tab your using a screwdriver on. there will be 2 Phillips head screws behind the cover that you will need to take out. ok that's all the screws and panel retainers that hold the door on, the last thing you will need to do is pull off the window cranks. (if your model has them) i bought a tool that takes window cranks off for 3.95. they are extremely cheap. you can also use a small flathead screwdriver to take the clip out. behind the window crank there is a metal u-shaped clip surrounding the crank. you just need to push it out a little bit. if you hold onto the crank, you will feel the tension break free. my model had 1 wire clip coming to the door panel that was extremely easy to take off. but my model just has cranks and push door locks. im sure there is more clijps you will have to take off on the lt,or ss

One is under the hood...should be near the winshield on right side of engine with small red cover on the lower side of it...this fuse box contains most of the fuses you will need...the other one is on the passengers side on the console behind a small compartment door

It requires disharging the air conditioner,removal of dash board and steering column. Not a job for non proffesional. Labor book time shows 9.3 hours.

The throttle position sensor is in the throttle body.
