I also have a 89 corvette that wont' start Sometimes when it is hot, When you turn the key to start the car the dash will light up but the starter does not turn over, but if you wait until it cools off it will start, most of the time. Does anyone have a solution... Help... "TONE" OK here you go. I have an '87 Corvette with almost the exact same issue. There are a few possibilities, but the most likely in this case is a faulty starter. It should be replaced as soon as possible. It will leave you completely stranded one day if you don't replace it very very soon. Take it from a guy whose car did just that in his soon-to-be father-in-law's driveway and had to explain it and get permission to work on it.

Now, in 70, the LT-1 motor had 360hp., however, they did make a 300hp., version. Handsn down, the 94, is a smoother, faster car. Simply by technology. The LT-1, of 1970, was a monster. It was probably the fastest, most common motor, other than the rare L-88, 427. In fact, I saw many LT-1's, beat the Hemi's, from Dodge. But the technology of the 94, makes it a better car. The C-3, "pop bottle" corvettes of 70, really left a lot to be desired, and were not real popular. They were nose heavy, and did not cornern as well as the C-2, Stingray's.

YES IT WILL not only on a 1994 but it happened to my 1988 corvette and the more that you try to start it the more damage you do to the gear on the distributor shaft which in my case runs the oil pump.gear was destroyed .you must then give many oil changes without running the engine to try to get the broken pieces out of the engine OR ELSE when you do get it running you will destroy the engine !!

This is easier than you think...jut takes a little longer.... Fill the M/C to the brim, open all bleeder screws and go eat lunch....check the level in the M/C every 15 minutes or so and NEVER let the fluid level drop more than an 1"...that's it... gravity bleeding in the older Corvettes is a sure fire way to get rid of ALL the air in the system. If you have new calipers, tap the casting a few times to dislodge some bubbles that sometimes from on the fresh dry casting.

The backfiring when cold is just that, the car isn't warm yet so the fuel detonates in the exhaust, and also the computer sets different timing. If there is too much fuel pressure, check the fuel pressure regulator, it is a cheap little rubber disk that can make an entire V8 run very poorly! First go back to basics and be sure the timing is properly set and the vacuum advance is working.

Check your ECM (Onboad computer) Do you have any other electrical problems. 4. Is anti-freeze flowing in the radiator when running (only check cold with cap off until engine warms up. 5.
