Is there child labor in Taiwan?
I'm not sure. i don't think so because it isn't on any of the websites I've studied
It depends entirely on the country.
If there is an effective court system and enforcement mechanism (such as exists in China), an abolition of child labor as a law would work well.
In countries with high levels of corruption in law enforcement (such as Russia) or an inordinately slow judicial system (such as India), economic incentives should be provided to lure people away from child labor.

How does child labor affect the world?
When countries import and sell the products of child made products because of child labour, the countries worldwide are selling the product for a cheaper price which causes it to have price competition between the countries own industries. E.g. People will buy the cheaper child made socks from wal-mart in Canada rather than buying the more expensive socks made by adults from a Canadian industry. This affects Canadian industries from not being able or capable of competing with the low prices from the child made products. The children who are labored to work, are paid very a low wage compared to the adults in Canada who are paid a reasonable price for their hard work used to make that product. The socks cannot be lowered price because of the fact that the industry will lose money and not have enough money to pay their workers. what they deserve.
