The American Red Cross has many different babysitting courses available. You have to pay for the courses that you take.

You don't need any subjects. But it does help to do a course such as NOCN level 1 babysitting, it gives you an insight and the basics of it.

Honestly they should be at least 12 by my standards, but if they are mature enough to take care of kids then you should see if someone would hire them first before you take babysitting off the table. as a guide, a good daycare center teaches the child how to develop their physical well being- physical activities, social development and independence, self esteem and identity.

if you check out daycare centers, pls observe the following:

the place must be clean and inviting, not noisy and dirty. the daily activities should be visible and readily available to the parents.

the place must be spacious and necessary equipment must be available. Child to staff ratio

ask if they have an on call health practitioner at hand.

the staff must be patient and nurturing and the other kids there must be happy.

Well, for a nine-year-old I would expect that you should just baby sit friends kids, or your younger siblings for a few bucks! I am 13 now and I have to say that I did not start baby sitting until 12. That is when I took my CPR class and so, then if help was needed then I could provide it. So maybe ask your mom, or dad if you can take a CPR class, and get your certificate for that! So then you could baby sit!! :)

15 year olds should earn $30 every babysit they do . It depends how much you charge an hour.

An 11 y/o should charge at least 8 to 10 dollars and it also depends on how many kids there are and how long you're watching them.

South Dakota does not have any laws regarding the age of babysitters for siblings or otherwise. The state also does not have laws regarding the age a child can stay home alone. Parents are expected to use their best judgment and are ultimately responsible for the care of their children.
