An art district that explores the nature of artists. There are Low-riders that take over the streets, showing off their cars for everyone to see. These different subcultures are all a part of Brazil.

Neither one really has what humans consider a "period". Dogs come into "season" 1 to 2 times a year. In that time they are very attractive to any male in a 10 miles of the female. A cat actually comes into season several times a year. She will come in as soon as she delivers a litter or if not bred every few weeks. In fact it has been known for a female go go into heat just because a male is in the area.

It depends how. In effect, pretty much any thing can "kill" you. Certain monkey feces that they throw can contain a rather violent disease, a chimp may bite you in the neck, and you can bleed to death, any number of crazy things are possible. this is a fairly wierd question to answer.

They are not, actually. The reason for that because animals with external skeletons (exoskeletons) have more surface area for their muscles to bind onto, giving them more leverage and strength. Animals with internal skeletons have far less surface area for the muscles to bind onto, thus limiting their strength. The average healthy human can lift their own body weight. Something like, oh say your average rhino beetle can lift up to 850 times their own body weight! Huge difference, and it's all because of surface area. The downside to having an exo skeleton, however, is that you have a limit on how large you can grow. The bigger you get with an exoskeleton, the more exponentially you'll feel the force of gravity on you until you simply can't hold yourself up anymore.

There are animals that have no backbone, but also lack an exoskeleton. These animals tend to be squishy, but many of them can actually regenerate body parts. A perk, if you ask me.

Both the Bonobo and the Common Chimp are Chimapanzees that share over 98% of their DNA with humans. This in itself makes chimpanzees a remarkable animal as their biology and behaviour are vey similar to people and for scientists to study them is to shed light on ourselves and our own evolution. But regardless of this, wild Chimpanzees have a rich social, emotional and even political life of their own. Studies have clearly indicated they are not only extremely intelligent but share close life long bonds with each other, demonstrate compassion, altruism, teach their young how to use tools and where to find medicinal plants, they have even been observed to demonstate premeditated action and sometimes vindictive behaviour not disimilar to people. All wild species deserve protection from habitat loss and extinction but chimpanzees are our closest relative so many people feel that if we can not even protect them then what hope will other species have?

Chimpanzees cannot be pets. As babies, they are relatively easy to care for, and pretty much can be raised as human children.

Upon reaching adolescence however, they become too hard to handle. Adult chimpanzees are 7-10 times stronger than humans. No matter how loving a relationship a chimp has with their human family there is always danger they will lose their temper and attack their owner, or even a neighbour. Not even Hollywood trainers can handle them after this time, and after abusing them their whole lives, they usually get rid of them or use them for breeding.

Also, it is cruel to the chimp. When an owner realises what they have gotten themselves into, there is almost nowhere for the chimp to go. Most zoos cannot take pet chimps as chimpanzees learn their social skills from other member of their community as they get older, so they are usually unable to form relationships with other chimps. Most sanctuaries are already filled to capacity. Many owners resort to biomedical labs as a place to dump their chimps, where the chimps live in 5x5x7 foot cages their entire lives.

Furthermore, the chimps destined to be pets are torn from their mothers at birth, and this has the exact same effect it owuld on a human and child.

Chimps are also endangered in the wild, and sometimes people will smuggle in wild baby chimps, and their family would have been killed to capture them.

If you love chimps, do research, donate or volunteer for sanctuaries and spread the word of their plight, but NEVER get one for a pet.

yes and no. well because some coyotes are not the sharpest tool in the shed,but yes because they are technically related to the "dog family." so it really depends on perspective you look at it.

Nature or Nurture question. Coyotes grownup in the wild often out maneuver humans or dogs trained to run them down. From pups on, it was a matter of survival.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no peer-reviewed, double-blind studies comparing wild coyotes even to the doggie IQ scale. I grew up around them and am a 30+ year trainer. They are certainly not the dim bulb on the string. From observed behavior, probably around the Belgium Malinois (a few steps down the scale from the German Shepherd). Very clever animals.
