How do you remove the radio from a 1993 Chrysler Imperial?
First, disconnect the battery. Then remove the upper bezel around the instrument cluster. There are 5 screws along the top of this bezel. Pull it out from the top. It has tabs which seat into the lower bezel. Next, remove the four screws holding the lower bezel. It wraps around the steering column. It comes out in one piece. You may have to adjust the tilt wheel and possibly move the shift lever down out of the way. Remember to set the emergency brake. The two hex head screws securing the radio are then accessible using a 3/8" socket. With these removed, just pull the radio forward. Disconnect the antenna lead, the black and gray 7 prong clips and the ground wire. That's it.
