Nicotine is used in the making of cigarettes and most people use it as a depressant.It also causes the release of natural chemicals in our brain called beta-endorphins. These chemicals cause us to feel more alert and calm. The problem is that nicotine isn't stored in the body so these effects last only a few minutes. We need to absorb more and more nicotine to make the effects last. because of nicotine, a drug that makes your brain think that it needs more through physical dependence (that's when you get other side effects when you don't smoke).

Actually, one cigarette takes 7 minutes off your life... or so THEY say. Also it is a proven fact that smoking weed is better for you. That's mainly because weed is a natural herb. In cigarettes you have to smoke through all kinds of chemicals to get to the tobacco. Plus there's no nicotine in weed or any other addictive substance. If that wasn't enough you should also consider if weed is SO bad for you then why do they give it as a "cure" to cancer and glaucoma, etc.

No they are not, since they contain no tobacco, therefore no nicotine. However, inhaling any smoke is dangerous, and although herbal cigarettes do produce carbon monoxide, and tar, they are a far better alternative to traditional cigarettes. They contain various herbs ranging from bay leaves, to honey rose, and ginseng.

CORRECTION: Marijuana has actually been proven NOT to kill brain cells, and has never had a death connected to JUST marijuana. While cigarettes kill tons of people everyday.
