Citroen C5

Resetting the service light on a Citroen Nemo van is easily done. This service light will be set by a mechanic after the issue has been resolved.

I've tried to do this. The menu is in screen where speedo is located, accessed by pressing rotary button on hub. On my UK 2009 C5 exclusive, the running lights line on menu is not active - maybe not available - although there seem to be bulbs in the headlight units. Also, a friend of mine has seen a C5 with them activated - unless it's a very recent model. I will enquire at my dealership...

about 2.3 bar on front and 2.5 bar on rear(thats 34 and 37 psi)

Open the trunk or hatch, remove the 2 screws. There are 2 friction posts (towards the outside of the assembly) still holding the assembly on. With gradually increasing force, work the tail light assembly straight out towards the rear.

Look at the tyre itself and there you find the tyre pressure e.g 35 psi. I inflated mine and the sensor when off.

look for wire top of engineleft hand side this goes to cam sensor /under cambox/rocker box cover

You press and hold down the trip reset and then turn on the ignition. The LCD odometer display then counts down and when gets to zero the service reminder has been reset. This also works on a Picasso.

the c5 doesnt have a fuel cut off like earlier crs, saxo etc...... the cut off in built into the airbag ecu, so in the event of impact the airbag activates and also the cuts the engine out, the vehicle will restart by switching ignition off then back on. hope this helps,, gavin

On the top centre display press and hold the lehf hand button for a few seconds until Language comes up on screen. Press the left hand button a few times until clock 24h/12h comes up. Use right hand button to choose which option. Then press left hand button, set hour using right button, pressing left button to go on to minutes, then select minutes with right hand button and again using left to confirm selection. Continue with left hand button through date to end of cycle.

you have to take off the offside front wheel and access the bottle via the wheel arch. This involves taking off the mud guards which are fixed in place by plastic plugs and one screw

Press in and hold the trip reset button. Switch on the ignition keeping the button pressed.

It's probably the same as in citroen c3. If you look at the lens you'll see a small hole at each side of the lens. Put a small screwdriver in it and then move the screwdrivers handle to the middle of the lens so the tip of the screwdriver pulls the hole to the outside. That should unclip it.

In the electrical box on the left hand side of the engine compartment. Undo the fasteners and remove the electrical box lid. Undo the 2 torx bolts and move the ECM to one side. (no need to disconnect the ECM

Unscrew the retaining torx bolt securing the unit to the electrical box, lift the unit out an disconnect the wiring plugs.

There is not a lot of room to move especially where the battery sits. It isn't essential to remove the battery, but try changing the other side first. And wait until the engine and bulbs are cool. You'll be doing this by feel

All directions are as if you're looking from the front. (Normally, directions are as if you are behind the wheel.)


1. Remove the plastic covers from the hydraulics and the battery.
2. Reach in from the side and locate the two round covers. (If your arms are thin and flexible, you might be able to reach from above.)
3. Remove the round cover with a quarter turn anti-clockwise.
4. Remove the connector from the bulb
5. The bulb flange is held by a wire clip. Push the clip to the front and then to the left.
6. Grasp the bulb by the flange and remove.


1. To replace, grasp the new bulb by the flange or connector.
2. Clean the bulb glass with a new, clean cloth. Do not touch the glass or use a dirty bulb or you will get a lot more practice replacing bulbs!
3. Insert new bulb, aligning the flange notch.
4. Push the wire clip to the left, then front then to the right to hook into place.
5. Press the power connector into the bulb.
6. Replace the round cover.
7. Replace the plastic covers from the hydraulics and the battery.


Headlight bulb is H7. Combination Fog lamp/Main Beam is H4. Side light is W5W and snaps into place without a clip.

YOu have to go into the trunk.. .there is a panel that you pull out on both sides to get to the light... its compact and hard to maneuver but it can be done with a little effort and skinned knuckles.

The fuse for the suspension pump is not easy to get at it is in the engine compartment on the same side as the battery there is a plastic cover/box just behind the battery towards the bulkhead and you have to lift that up and the 40amp fuse is under that,if that fuse has blow then your pump is in big trouble.

Remove star shaped screw on side of panel by door latch and then pop casing off from where it meets the window. Panel is held in with popable clips so can be pulled off so far to enable access into door and handle mechanism. If changing door handle another star shaped screw will need removed from where handle for inner door is

You need to remove the battery and bracket then you will see a black Plastic thing and that is where you can top up the oil

Citroën themselves, but most of the runninggear are made by the PSA group. They are a joint venture between Citrën and Peugeot. So parts are interchangeble.

On my Citroen Belingo Multspace (Same for Xsara Picasso), there are two rear number plate bulbs with individual translucent plastic covers. The covers are held on by an interior lip at each side that clips the cover into place.

Take a small screwdriver, and insert into the small hole at one side of the cover (it looks like it might be a hole to hold on the cover with a small screw, but it isn't.) Gently lever the cover with the screwdriver, pushing the handle of the screwdriver towards the centre of the light. The clip on the side will come away, and then the cover can be easily removed. The bulb is then just pulled out and the replacement pushed in.

The cover just clips back into place by pushing - a distinct click from each side when it's firmly home. (Compare to the other cover, which is still in the right place, hopefully.)

An easy job, if you get that gentle leverage at exactly the right place.

On the Xsara Picasso I found the handle of the screwdriver or the hand-end of the lever should move from the centre out as the clip was fixing on the inside of the plastic cover - thus requiring flex of the clip towards the centre of the cover. The holes on the sides of the plastic cover are 3mm diameter and a round piece of steel of this diameter works better than a screw driver blade - I found the movement required small but very resistant - the bulb is capsule type and pulls straight out

Change your oil, then run the car BRIEFLY (about 30 seconds), then change oil and oil filter again. Good luck.
