What type of symptoms should you be worried about after getting a flu shot?
Flu vaccinations have been proven safe and effective over decades of use. There are very few severe reactions from these important disease preventing inoculations. The most common would be allergic responses. If you have never had a flu vaccination before, you should be aware of any new symptoms that come on suddenly such as difficulty breathing, a feeling that your throat is swelling shut, or other systemic allergic responses like rash, hives, etc. If this is going to happen, it will usually happen soon after the injection, so you could tell the clinician who gives the injection that it is your first time and they may suggest that you stay for 20 - 30 minutes at that location after the shot to watch for adverse reactions. It is rare, however.
Minor symptoms, not to worry about but that are uncomfortable temporarily, are at the local injection site such as muscle soreness from the injection, mild swelling and redness with some heat and even some mild flu-like symptoms such as low grade fever, mild fatigue and general malaise.
All of the local reactions should be gone in 2 or 3 days. If the area becomes more red and swollen as time goes by instead of less, there is the ever so slight chance that the injection introduced bacteria to the site, and you may need to have it examined to be sure there is no bacterial infection.

If you are tolerating Tamiflu well it should be ok to go to school. Tamiflu has been known to cause very adverse reactions in some people including myself. Which is why I will never take it again. But if you are fine, I cant see why you cant go on with your life if you are able to. Either way, school is a public place, god forbid if you feel like something is very wrong, somone will always be able to call an ambulance. I know it's hard but TRY not to be afraid of anyhting.

Not in the US. There is also a different and newly-approved vaccine for this flu season that is quadrivalent (see below). The trivalent seasonal flu vaccines for the 2012-2013 flu season in the US contain:

In addition, in April 2012 the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a new vaccine for the 2012-2013 flu season that is quadrivalent, meaning it contains vaccine for four strains of flu instead of the historically typical inclusion of three strains (trivalent). The new vaccine is called FluMist Quadrivalent. It is in the form of nasal mist and is made by AstraZeneca's MedImmune unit, as is the FluMist Trivalent nasal spray influenza vaccine.
The quadrivalent vaccine protects against an additional strain of Type B influenza. In prior years, there have typically been two Type A vaccines and one Type B vaccine in the flu vaccines, but the 2012-2013 quadrivalent protects against two strains of influenza Type A plus two strains of influenza B.

Members should check the back of their Humana ID card to see if they have flu vaccine coverage under their plan. If you do go to an in network provider and it will be no cost. If you don't have coverage or you go to an out of network provider Humana won't pay.
How do you make a sore throat better?
There are tons of home remedies for soothing sore throats. 1. Try drinking some hot tea with honey, the honey coats your throat and stops the pain for a few minutes. Also, if you do not like honey and tea together, just take in the honey. It has the same effect. 2. Gargle salt water every 2 hours. All you need to do is put one table spoon of salt in a glass of water, but do not swallow it. 3. Try taking Halls, cough drops, they really work and soothe your throat for a good ten minutes. 4. Eat ice pops! Cold actually helps! When I have sore throats, I actually eat too many popsicles, so I used a popsicle maker to make plain ice pops, without any sugars, fat or calories.
