The QWERTY keyboard arrangement is a holdover from the days of the old manual typewriters. Christopher Sholes developed the layout over several years to keep the most frequently used keys as far apart as possible to keep the dies that struck the paper through the inked ribbon from getting stuck together.

You probably activated "filter keys." Filter keys are meant to slow down the repeat rate on the keyboard. Holding down shift again for 10 seconds should deactivate it, if that is indeed the problem.

Well, maybe because your computer can't read foreign symbols. I know they aren't really foreign symbols to us, but computers, aren't made to read those characters. Think of making a heart as a cheat. It also took my computer a couple tries, but it works now!♥♥♥♥

try putting your computer in num lock and then pressing alt 3 it might help!!

Also, it might not work on laptops that don't have a number pad. :)

On a US Dell keyboard, the key above the Enter key is for the backslash (\) and the pipe (|).

A chordic keyboard uses only one key for each finger. Combinations of keys are pressed simultaneously to enter a data character or some other type of data, similar to producing a chord (note) on a piano. Pressing combinations of keys in this way is called ''chording''.

yes it is allowed the PC will accept two or more keyboards although the users can not all typing at the same time.

your computer key board has more germs than your toilet.

Probably your keyboard key is not working. Try to replace that key and try to see if it helps, else you may have to replace your keyboard as the last option...

Am Chord (if you know the note names) is A, C & E. They can be played in any 'inversion', so you could also play C, E & A and it still makes Am

Or, while looking at the keyboard you will see groups of 2 black keys, followed by a couple of white keys, then 3 black keys.

the 'A key is the white key in between the 2nd & 3rd of the 3 Black Keys, then from this white key, the C is two white keys to the right, and the E is two white keys to the right of the C.

You could try flipping the keyboard upside-down and try shaking it. Hopefully it will fall out. If it doesn't, you'll have to take your keyboard apart.
