Are there any keylogger hidden in jpg or JPEG file and where could i find it?

A key logger is an application, which means it is a .exe file and it can't be hidden in a jpeg file...fyi, computer virus/es are also .exe files and can be hidden by using winzip or programs that can compress files Most often keyloggers and such are compressed into .rar files and hidden, however finding these pictures is difficult, because the entire idea is that they are hidden. sometimes there are hints on the picture, keep your eyes open. Also, the most famous of these types of pictures is the dangerous kitten hackers pack.

A keylogger COULD be hidden within a picture, however you would not trigger the keylogger opening the picture, you would have to change it to an .exe, or a .rar and extract the keylogger.

Do to virus some files are made permanent hidden how to make them unhidden?

Depends on what the virus actually did to hid them. For instance, if you name a file with a leading . then the file is hidden. For example: .apple.txt would be a hidden file.

If you enable hidden files to be shown that might do it.

What is Blue Screen of Death and how to overcome it?

The "Blue Screen of Death" is one of the most annoying problems on a CPU and it basically is a hard drive crash when the motherboard is having problems; it can also be a virus infection. To prevent this I strongly recommend you clean out you're computer of any junk files or programs/applications you do not use anymore, then download a free Norton 360 or IObit Advanced System Care 6 and let either one do a full care on you're computer. If it still happens after that seek professional help from a local computer mechanic.

What are the precaution one needs to take in keeping the computer safe and long usage?

Here's my opinion:

  • Run a good virus checker.
  • Don't click on any links or load enclosures in emails. I know this is hard to do, but the primary place viruses get in your machine are from deceptive links or enclosures in emails. With experience you can learn to recognize these deceptive links but there's almost no way to teach you how to avoid them all. As for enclosures, if someone says they're sending you something and an attachment arrives from them soon after, or you check with them and they say they just sent you an attachment it's probably safe.
  • Install as few programs as you can. Don't install programs willy nilly. Obviously you need to install programs to make your computer useful, but the more programs you install the more conflicts they can create making your computer stop working properly or become cranky. Occasionally programs you download from the internet will containg viruses, often they contain Adware which creates problems running your computer. So, only download software from trusted websites and decide whether you think each program you install is really necessary.

How do you find out who is trying to access your computer when Norton 2005 says 'a remote system is attempting to access your computer'?

I recently had a flurry of "remote system attempting to access..."messages. I chose to "Always Block" each time. I checked for Norton updates. The access messages continued. I looked for window updates, I was current, and the messages continued. I continued to "Always Block". I downloaded Ad-aware from Lavasoft. After deep scanning 4 times in rapid succession it turned up tracking cookies each scan, which I quarantined. My "remote system" messages are gone...so far. Possibly I had the same problem, they came so fast my computer was almost unusable. I found, on another forum, what I consider a workable solution.

Right mouse click the Norton icon on your taskbar. Click on 'Open Norton Internet Security'. Under "Personal Firewall" goto "Configure" then under "Firewall" tab goto "Custom Level" and uncheck "Alert when unused ports are accessed".

Since I've done this I get no more "remote system attempting to access" messages. I also make the assumption that, even though I don't see it, the firewall is doing it's thing quietly in the background.

Why is your start up on your computer slow then before?

As with all machines computers need occasional maintenance. There are certain housekeeping jobs that need to be done. Some of the most important are keeping the fragmentation of the HDD to a minimum, clearing out the junk from the registry and deleting files that are not required. Also make sure that the only programs and application processes that you need are loaded at start up. If you ensure these are all in order you will find your computer running more quickly and smoothly.

This is not an exhaustive list but it is a very good start.

Why would your computer randomly restart is it cause of a Virus And how can you get rid of it?

yeah that would be a virus. they have command that will reset your computer after 50 or so executions. press controll alt delete and go to process and than go to start search and search everthing program that you dont know. Or you could get a anti virus program So here's what I would do, when faced with a randomly rebooting computer:

-Yes, I would consider upgrading to Windows XP, if the machine was capable of it.

-Make sure that anti-virus and anti-spyware utilities are running and up-to-date.

-Make sure that the operating system and all device drivers are as up-to-date as possible.

-Run a memory diagnostic such as Memtest86 or Windows memory Diagnostic.

-Run a hard disk diagnostic such as SpinRite.
