Most of them don't have the emotional maturity to want to be seriously involved with older women, the interest is purely lust, and for this reason, the majority of girls & women above their teens tend to shun such involvements. Those women who do end up having 'relationships' with teenage boys are usually themselves very immature & needy- they may have come out of an unhappy marriage or been abused when younger, and don't feel able to handle an involvement with a mature man. There are also some women who are predatory- they may be looking to become pregnant by a partner who would have no chance of legal victory in the event of a future paternity claim. In both of these cases, few mature adult men would wish to be involved with such women. It's also worth mentioning, that the percentage of cases where young boys have sexual relationships with, or babies by, women old enough to be their mothers remains very small, even in this day & age. Within this tiny percentage, the majority of cases tend to occur in the USA, where American popular culture and the general emotional immaturity of the population make such happenings more likely than elsewhere. Generally, it remains the case that the reverse situation- older men being involved with women or girls half their age- is FAR more common.

The fact that you and him have been friends for a couple years helps the signals comeout clearer. If he is a family oriented guy then start hanging out with him and his family. Go to his house, and if everyone is watching T.V., then sit down next to him and watch with the whole family. When I was in elementary school and even into junior high, I found myself wanting to have an older man in my life. There was nothing wrong with my parents or my home life. I grew up in a stable middle class household, where all the I's were dotted and T's had been crossed.

If I look back at my motivations for wanting to be with an older man. They were simple yet confusing. Something about them called to me. I think in simple form, certain boys want to be loved. Not like a parent love's a child, but rather like a reader might cherrish a good book. They wan't to know that they are important and have a place in the hearts other people, not just family and friends.

I also believe that there is a level of phallic idolization that comes into play. Some boys will see an older man in a public shower, like at a swimming pool or the YMCA, and think how gross! Yet, others will see a man's larger adult genitals and be facinated. A need to explore that facination grows and the dream of being intimate with and old man begins to take hold in the minds. Some get the chance to explore it. Often time's in a wholesome and tender way. For other's, it stays a dream and a fantasy.
