If you're right at the Arctic Circle - for example, in northern Iceland or places in Scandinavia - the day of the summer solstice is the ONLY day of 24-hour sun, and on that day the Sun will dip just to the horizon and then start rising again. Very strange, if you're tired and jet-lagged as I was the first time I was there....
