I have done a surgery on 24th. Durin the surgery, which lasted about 10 minutes, I didn't feel a thing. Dentist had to cut my gum a bit so he can take tooth out, so I have small fibres inside. There was no blood or something lika that. But after half an hour it really was painful. I had to hold ice on my cheek so that my right cheek don't be too swelled. I drink pills that reduce pain (and other people I know drank them too).
i just got mine out yesterday. I had all 4 taken out and they were all impacted (underneath the gum still) so the surgery was about 45 minutes. I was not conscious for it though. for stuff that long they give you an IV that makes you go to sleep. it felt like all I did was shut my eyes for 1 second and when i opened them they were done! The first 6 hours after you feel nauseous though as the sleeping medicine wears off. I threw up once but that's not bad. They also prescribe you pain killers like codine, anti nausea and anti inflammatory medicine. then all you do is ice your jaw, sleep a whole bunch and let the swelling go down for about 3 days and you are as good as new!
