However, going to school for photography can only help you hone your craft. You can secure a job as an assistant photographer or open your own business, assuming you have the capital, with a 4-year photography degree (Bachelor's).

A 2-year graduate degree (Master's) will see you more skilled and commanding more pay.

Consider a 5-year graduate program (PhD) if you are planning to teach.

If your precription has changed dramatically or the frame previously belonged to someone with a different prescription to yours, you may also have difficuties fitting new lenses.

Many digital cameras are "fixed focus" meaning that the lens assembly does not move when focusing between far and distant objects. Inside every digital camera is an small electronic chip smaller than your thubnail that converts the focused light energy into electrical signals. Millions of separate light sensors are arranged on the electronic chip in a rectangular "array" behind the lens. When you press the shutter button, the millions of light sensors measure the instantaneous level of light striking their small area and send this data to other circuitry in the camera. There these millions of separate values are converted to a computer file format (usually .jpg) and stored in the memory of the camera.

No 8 mega pixels is 8 million pixels because 1 mega pixel is 1000000 pixels

There are two ways.

First is vector way where picture is divided in elementary mathematical shapes, and you can change pictures dimensions without losing quality of picture.

Second is raster, here picture is divided in points (pixels) and when you enlarge the picture you can see that pixels and the picture will lose quality. Most of pictures are in raster quality
