Your hCG can remain high until your next period - which could be one of the reasons they tell you to wait to start trying again until after you've had a period. I had LFT done at a recent visit to the hospital. Results were back in around 2 hours. I just had to repeat the test at a lab due to elevated numbers so I'm not sure how long that'll take. After all my searching, I found that some people heard their results from the lab the same day and others didn't find out for 14 days..so it looks like it varies depending on the lab, the doctor, and the results. Seems like elevated numbers come back faster than normal ones.

I am very sorry for your loss, but don't give up hope! Endrometriosis is common and I've had it (very badly in my 30s) and found out it left scarring. It would be wise to have your doctor send you to a specialist. Scarring can be removed if the specialist feels this is what is needed so you can get pregnant.
