Why are some people such racist bastards?

One day, brother, it will be different, one day...... things are better than they were, maybe not much, but things are better. Your Q suggest you don't see it that way, and I do see the point of your phrasing...... but the world is, slowly I will agree, changing. One day......

Another answer:

The question itself offers clues to what the problem might be. The question is vague in its meaning yet clear in its intent. The emotional anger and disgust with people is clear, but what is not clear is whether or not the questioner believes that all people are racist bastards, or if only some are and because of the vagueness of the question combined with a modern proclivity towards speaking in very general terms especially when it comes to such divisive issues as racism, it is rarely clear what is meant by racist.

Racism is the belief that race is the primary determining factor in the inherent capabilities and traits of people and that because of the variance in race, there are those races that are superior to the others. The belief that Caucasians are superior to all other races is an example of racism. In order to truly believe that race is the primary determining factor of individual traits and capabilities, one must then, necessarily believe that all we are is the sum total of our physiology. A racist may give praise to God, or Allah or even Buddha but in truth they do not believe that they exist outside their bodies and therefore can never really understand who they are praising when it comes to God or Allah or even Buddha. If people believe, and many do, that we are souls that inhabit bodies, it does not make sense to adopt racist dogma. Whatever color our skin may be here on earth, our being is something else all together.

Racism has been used to justify slavery, genocide and class warfare, all of which are products of evil intentions. In order to create a believable dogma or doctrine such as racism, it is very necessary to speak in vague and general terms. Racism as a theory does not hold up under the harsh scrutiny of the scientific method. Racism does not, as it can not, address the philosophical questions that arise from such a general assertion that one race is inherently superior to other races. Racism relies upon the ignorance of individuals for indoctrination into that world. Not all individuals are so ignorant as to fall into the traps of illogic and irrationality of racism. Since there are clearly people on this planet who do not engage in the practice of racism it is reasonable to hypothesize that not all people are such racist bastards.

To operate on the assumption that all people are racist bastards is to make the same mistakes of syllogistic logic that racists make. To further confuse the issue is the usage of the word bastards which in its original definition is meant to describe people who were born to parents not married. Illegitimate children was another phrase for bastards, but in the modern world we use the word to describes scoundrels and people of ill repute regardless of their parents marital status. It is reasonable to assume that the questioner does not wonder why people are such racist illegitimate children, and most likely means to use the word to link racists with scoundrels. The intent behind this vague and general usage of language may indeed be noble, but is falls prey to the same sloppiness and lazy thinking that produces racists. In order for a racist to believe that their race is superior to other races they must demonize the other races to the point of vague and general reductions and dismissals. It doesn't help to demonize the racist, nor does it marginalize racism. Alliances are formed because of vicious attacks.

To further compound the problem, it doesn't help that we the people keep creating governments that love to create bureaucracies filled with bureaucrats who love to label and compartmentalize. Thus, it was only a matter of time before census takers felt the need to qualify whether a person was Caucasian, or Hispanic or of African decent or Asian. In truth, it is unclear why any government would have a need to know the color of people's skin in order to better count them. But, because there are people who are such racist bastards, we create laws that require that the racist bastards play fair and it was only a matter of time before legislators would require that employers keep documentation on the racial status of their employees. When filling out an application, how many of us have been asked to check the box next to the race that best describes us. In truth, there is no clear reason why an employer would need to know the race of an applicant, especially since most applicants meet face to face with their prospective employer. The documentation is made so that our governments can keep track of racial quotas. Racial quotas only confounds the problem even further, encouraging the racist bastards to dig deeper into their trenches and prepare to fight the inevitable race war they seem to believe is coming.

The ridiculousness of classifying which race best describes people lies in the fact that while racism has existed for a long time throughout history individuals have fallen in love with people of other races and joined in procreation. This mixing of the races only further confuses the whole issue of racism. A young black girl, clearly black by the color of her skin, has almond shaped eyes and cute little freckles spattered across her nose. Which race best describes her? I for one, have no idea, but I have seen her and she is perhaps the most stunningly beautiful woman I have ever seen. It matters not whether she is African American, Asian or Caucasian, she takes my breath away and I always act stupid around her, which in my eyes makes her superior to me, not because of her race but because I am enamored by her. Which brings us to yet another problem with the whole confusion on racism. There is the problem of people just believing they are superior to others for whatever reason they can muster. There are people who feel inferior not because of their race but because they just don't fit in wherever they go. Racism is only one doctrine that asserts superiority over others, there are other doctrines, most notably the Divine Right doctrine, there is Zionism, there is Catholicism, there are the Muslims, there are the C.E.O.'s and the Corporate officers, there are the professional athletes, the politicians and heads of state, all these groups engage in belief systems that suffer from superiority complexes.

In the end, some people are racist bastards and some people are not. If the intent is to help racist bastards towards some sort of enlightenment, then perhaps the question is valid. But, I suspect the why is less important than how we can encourage people to embrace more knowledge. Why someone was ignorant is less important than how they came to knowledge and wisdom. There is no need to forgive the poor racist bastards, but to show them compassion wouldn't hurt, as they are just lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Let's do what we can to expand their fishbowl so that they might find their way and God Bless us all, each and every one of us poor helpless bastards!

They were called mulattos, but that designation was for one black and one white parent. There were various terms for the percentage of slave blood, such as "quadroon" for a person with one quarter African ancestry, and these terms were used to describe people with differing percentages of 'slave' blood.

That is exactly right.

What is mean by maruthuvar in caste vice in south Indian system?

The Maruthuvar, in olden days they were the doctors for Kings. They followed Siddha to treat patients. That time, people were not used to cut their hair, rather they grow. When they got wound, the "Maruthuvars" removed hairs in the wounded area. So apart from treating people, they knew hair cutting.

Once British came to rule India, they introduced English medicines. Later, our traditional medical practices vanished. People also started trimming their hair, in the name of fashion. So these "Maruthuvars", started doing the job of cutting hairs.

So there was no separation like "Navidhar" in olden days, after British came to rule "Navidhar" became a community. Then our Government joined "Navidhar" to "Maruthuvar", saying same community people.

But in this century, many started beauty parlours and doing the same as Nacidhars or so called Maruthuvar. Will they be added to this Maruthuvar community.

Do white people and black people like each other?

Of course they do. Mature, educated people understand that skin color, ethnic background, or country of origin are just not important!

People who are poorly educated or immature only look at other people from the outside, and are not able to put themselves into that person's perspective and see that we are all human beings.

Most white people and black people and Asian people and native or aboriginal people get along quite fine.

Who made up race?

We have the human race. People have also used and misused the word race based on skin colour and ethnicity. It has become a very abused value-loaded word or label which is often used to reinforce a particular viewpoint or hatred. It is a good word (and its derivitive racism) to avoid altogether, and use words instead which are precise and not merely polemic against an opposition or opposing view.
