well dogs dont ussually just do silly things! if your dog is licking mud it might be thirsty because well, mud is a mixture of dirt and water! you never know. dogs are very interesting. before you take your dog for a walk next time: give him/her lots of water! if this isnt the case; next time him/her goes in for a checkup at the vets; ask! im sure they would be glad to answer (; hope this helped!

Good question. A lot of dog owners have this disgusting problem. They dogs mother taught them as puppies to eat their poo because of the protein in it. This problem are most common in small dogs.

I actually had this problem when I was potty-training my Shih Tzu. I ended up just cleaning up the poo before I take the dog out. Never hit the dog, you'll only weaken your relationship with your dog. I heard putting pineapple in their food works but I've never tried it with my dog.

When a dog is signed over to Animal Services doesn't mean the dog will be put tp sleep. That being said, the former owner can ask for Animal Services to take the animal to the shelter and ask for the animal to be humanely euthanized.

If the Animal Services "Officer" stated they will "put the dog to sleep" that means the dog will be taken to the shelter, placed in quarantine for a few days (possibly) and then humanely euthanized/destroyed due to concerns about the general well being and safety of the community.

ÞBecause the teen has become pregnant

If Buddy is not eating or drinking...AND is lethargic. I would recommend getting him into see your veterinarian. Anytime our pets stop eating and drinking, it's time to seek professional assistance. Animals can get seriously dehydrated pretty quickly. Your veterinarian can assess his need for fluid replacement.

The white foam could be from excessive salivation due to nausea that he is swalloing. If he is having any coughing or gagging when he vomits this white foam...it could be signs of Kennel Cough. If Buddy has been in a keennel situation, daycare, groomers..even local parks, there is an oportunity for exposure.

Definately see your vet if these symptoms have continued...

Mine use to bite mine too :/ ..... I bought a toy foot that looks indentically like a real foot, and I try to encourage my shih tzu bite the toy foot. So far, its helped ALOT! My shih tzu no longer bites my feet. You should try that, or buy house slippers to wear just incase the dog tries to bite your feet... :) those solutions have helped me teach my shih tzu as well <3

No, it's not dangerous to mix breeds! It's actually pretty fun to see what your new mixed breed puppy! I have one at home, and she is a mix of a poodle and bijon! She is very cute! Anyway, if you are thinking about mixing breeds, you should go for it!

Supervision, and prevention are the answers!

When you can't be watching the dog like a hawk, or you leave the house, your dog needs to be contained to either a dog crate (if it's crate trained) or part of a room with the help of a child-gate or two. Your dog should not be having the run of your home until the marking problem is under control. Only when you catching him "in the act" should you reprimand him. It's useless to punish a dog for something that happened previously, and it can lead to other behavioral issues.

A shaker can can be made by taking an empty soda can and filling it with a few coins and then taping the opening closed to prevent the coins from flying out. The shaker can makes a lot of noise when you shake it up and down. Watch your dog for signs that he is going to mark (for example, he's doing circles around his "mark"). As he is about to lift his leg: shake the can only once to get his attention. The loud noise should frighten him and interrupt what he is doing, firmly tell him "NO!", and take him outside to relieve himself.

Clean the areas where your dog has marked with an enzymatic cleaner, such as Nature's Miracle, or Simple Solution. These cleans are very effective at removing the scents which might be attracting your dog back to mark.

Establish a clear hierarchy! To reduce marking behavior, it is very important that your "pack" has a clear hierarchy, and that you are leader of the pack! Simple steps to establish yourself as pack leader include not allowing your dog to sleep on the bed with you. Sleeping on the bed elevates him to your status and sometimes creates status confusion. A "Belly Band" is a training aid you can try. It's wraps around the dog's belly and prevent him from urinating on objects. If the dog is wearing the belly band and he marks, the belly band will function like a diaper and hold the urine. Dogs don't like being wet and they will normally stop marking once they learn that marking makes them uncomfortable. Try doing a google search for "Belly Bands" to see these products. Belly Bands can be a great tool to help stop marking, but they shouldn't be worn all the time.

You want to keep the pad clean and moist. Use an antibiotic salve and keep the paw wrapped, otherwise it will keep on splitting open if left unwrapped. The salve will help to heal this. You probably should take your dog to your Veterinarian too, just to make sure. Do NOT bathe it with salt water. You could also buy a dog boot to fit your dog to put on over the wrap to keep it on better. You can find these at larger pet shops or through the doggie catalogs.
