i have a schnoodle, it is actually a mix of a schnauzer and a poodle and she's a great dog, i would highly recommend getting one but be careful where you get them because some breeders will abuse the mother and father so make sure you schedule a meeting with them where they keep their dogs. Also make sure you meet the parents and discuss health problems with the owners.
AnswerI would recomend the keeshond. These dogs make brilliant family pets because of their sweet nature. I grew up with a keeshond and my sis has really bad asthma and allergies but never hard a problem with my keeshond. This breed also only needs a short walk a day. They might sould like a breed from heaven but they have two drawbacks. One is their long fur. Though they only shed (bi-)annually (and the fur comes out in clumps which makes for easy cleaning) they need to be groomed daily or every other day. The second issue is... well... they have a tendency to get fat and the intelligent devils know just how to look at you to get you to give them treats. Though super friendly they were originally used as guard dogs on barges so they would work well in guarding the house from strangers (though their not going to attack their going to bark happily saying welcome to my home). In my opion you should get a mini goldendoodle. they are hypo alerginc and are smal.
i recommend a girl because she wont hump your leg as much as males, they are usually nicer, but it may be more important to get her spayed than a male neutered. males are more aggressive if they aren't yet neutered. and both cost a lot of money. females are usually more money. i think you should get any sweet mutt you find from the shelters. mutts are healthier, nicer, they live longer and they are just overall better. it actually is a fact that mutts live longer and are healthier. hope i helped!
