Because like the person below me said. It's like killing homeless people. You'd want to give them a chance, not just throw them away because they haven't got a home. Dogs and cats don't choose to be homeless, it's just a sad fact what people can do. People are who to blame when it comes to that. They are living; breathing things too, don't forget that. Homes can be found for them, maybe someone would like to adopt them? That's what animal rescue centres and rescue people are all about.

Sometimes, though, stray animals could be diseased or exceptionally violent and must be professionally euthanised. You still shouldn't kill them, but if you want to help, should probably call someone to get it. It can then be taken to a vet, and if it is ok, it can be taken to a shelter to be adopted.

They do what comes naturally, and also, when they smell each others behinds it's a way of identification and a quick run-down on the dogs personality traits. However, it isn't the best thing for pet owners to have to put up with. I have a female Bichon Frise and a cockapoo x terrier that is male and both of them have been fixed. I basically train him not to do this. When he starts now I quickly say in a soft, but stern voice and point a finger "NO!" He stops and that's the end of that. But, since watermelons are mainly made up of water, they don't really contain any vitamins so, like for humans, watermelons aren't very significant for dogs to eat, but they are edible.

Yes. They prefer dim light or no light mostly because they are nocturnal. I had mice at one point and they never liked light. I have a rat now and he doesn't like light either! Hope that helped!

The idea of dominance is a much abused and misused one. Leadership is a more descriptive term. Leadership is established by control of resources, control of behavior, and stewardship. A common misconception is that one must eat first or go through doors first or hold one's head higher than a dog in order to rank above it. It isn't who goes through the door first that matters, but who DECIDES who goes through the door first. (That's control of behavior.) Violence is not necessary to establish pack leadership. In fact, it is counter productive because it shows the dog that the biggest bully wins. Use your innate advantages to establish your position in the pack, ie your intelligence and your pocket book. Easy, you can't command your dog to protect you, your children, or even your house. If your dog is like mine, just love and take care of your dog like any good trainer, Owner, or Family member would. You need to make sure that your dog is in a happy home and has a family that would take care of Him/ Her with their lifes. Once you show him, He will do the same......

Yes, it is scientifically proven that dogs dream. All mammals dream. It is a mysterious process as to WHY mammals dream, but we do actually know what they probably dream of. Many experiments have been done that link a rat's daily activities with the brain waves and motions of their dreams. Dreams tend to revolve around searching for food and fleeing from predators. It might have something to do with the brain's need to do maintenance during downtime, rather like when you run a program on your computer that cleans up unused files and maximizes the efficiency of your hardware. It could also be a different kind of wakefulness, where the mnemonic brain creates exchanges with the more primitive brain for a kind of "training session." Nobody really knows. You should not to disturb a dog or any other animal or human during REM sleep. It disrupts the resetting of the brain that is done during that period of rest. It can look a bit upsetting, but just leave them be and they will be fine.

If a dog has a fever, it usually is lethargic. To get an accurate temperature you should do it rectally, with a rectal themometer. Dogs norm temp is 101 degrees

actually it varies by breed.... 100.5 to 102.5 are normal. In other words 102 can be OK, too.

You go to a hunter's sporting goods store that has hunter "Scents". These different type "Scents" are either used to cover up the human smell or used to lure animals in. The Scent you want to buy is used for dog training or to scare off other animals. The one I use is bottled by "Moccasin Joe Ambush 100% Pure Natural Urine Scents" It is called "Ambush 100% Pure Cougar Urine" I am not a sales guy for Mocassin Joe, any kind of Cougar urine will do. You could go out and collect some yourself if you want. The way you do it is to squirt some of the Cougar Urine on the butt end of your Shih Tzu. Most Scent bottles squirt. It wont hurt your Shih Tzu and it will definitly keep your Lab away from her. I use it to keep neighbors dogs, cats and other animals out of my yard by pouring 1 1/2 Oz. into a hose end sprayer and spray it around the edges of my yard property. I've seen some dogs yelp and run when they smell it. My Silvertip Wolf won't leave the yard either. The only downside to this scent, it may attract other Cougars. GET YOUR GIRL DOG SPAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When You See your dog Peeing Go over quietly and gently lift there leg. It depends really on how old your dog is some dogs do it by themselves beetween 4 months to a year



1.Make sure it got a long drink of water.
2.Take it to the toilet,(the one a boy uses)
3.Put it on it.
4.Make it stand up.
5.Tell it to go pee.

All males do this but if its alot i would take him to the vet

My first question is, what does the blood look like? If it is small quantities, dark brown and not foul-smelling, this is called lochia and is normal. If the blood is red, clotted, in moderate to large quantities (more than a quarter cup) or has a foul smell to it, you should take your dog to the veterinarian immediately.

Your best bet is to trap the spider and rush your dog to the vet. Animals get bitten all the time and we don't notice it because it doesn't swell. If you are seeing swelling, you are seeing a reaction... and that would need to be treated. Take the spider with you so the vet knows what venom is in the dog.

Sometimes dogs become depressed because they lose a companion; often the only treatment for this is time and still being a companion to him. a short hair dog will cause you less problems than a long hair dog. i'd ask an allergist to find out for sure.

As long as they are both nuetered you will probably not have a problem. I have one male and three female beagles. I also foster up to four dogs at a time. I've never had a problem with the males getting along. Actually the only dog I have with an aggression issue is a female. I call her Miss Grouchypants. well maybe ts for the best, i mean if you want puppies then maybe not but having 2 male dogs is not a problem.
