The name of the dolls "Fuwa Dolls" means "Good Luck Dolls", but the dolls don't mean anything except when you put their names together to say "Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni" it means "Welome to Beijing". Pleasant Company is the company that made the first American Girl dolls. Eventually, Mattel bought the company, and Mattel owns it today. However, they still all say "Pleasant Company" -I'm 13 and still LOVE AG!

Shindana- possibly misspelled is or was an all/Black toy manufacturer located on the West Coast, it was Founded as the Shindana toy company and much was made of it as a Black Enterprise. all of the dolls were Black . I do not know if they ever advertised on Television, they did get some cross-feed publicity via an ad for the Bank Manufacturers Hanover, who bragged that they helped to finance the Shindana Toy Company- this was in the seventies. I do not know if they ever ran regular tv ads like Barbie or Major Matt Mason ( Mattel astronaut action figure). The subject is discussed in some detail in ( a Role call of dolls) in the book ( A Toy is Born) Shindana is a Swahili word and means ( Rival) or ( Competitor) that it was.

It's a doll that was advertised on the Lloyd Thaxton Show back in the mid 60's.

These are on E-bay for an asking price of between $10 - $20 ea. The better the condition, if in box, etc, the more they're worth, but they're not hugely valuable, I'm afraid. They're just not that rare. :(

What a nice idea for a sleepy tot! There were several hard-plastic dolls of this type who had fixed ( Faces) but something akin to Mercury switches ( no considered too toxic for batteries, let alone toys) that would naturally close their eyes when you placed them in a reposeful posture. They had these dolls out in the twenties. They did not have hats. ( People don't normally sleep with headgear on!)- or wear them in church.l The dolls I seem to recall ( I"m a man) were about normal child-sized , maybe three feet head-to-toe, and had hard plastic bodies and heads. the eye-closing feature was very realistic and worked with, as I stated, something akin to Mercury switches. Do not confuse with Mercury pens based on famous movie stars that will ( Take it off on the Vertical posture!- )- not for kids.

if its a toy you sell it for 20$ if its a olf toy i prefer 16$.if its a game i prefer 29$ or if its old 25$ sincerly hcd.

If you have the pet of the doll you have species you can go to the sundial and sacrafice that pet and it'll turn into a mummy of whatever doll & pet you had.

So If I have a mummy grint doll and a grint pet, it'd turn into a mummy grint.

In australia we have family stickers that go on the back of the cars and you can get the ones that have been already made or you can ask the makers to make u one so i guess you can have dolls as well

I don"t know about seeing, but Talking Dolls and toys became popular in the ealry Sixties. Mattel had a talking Bugs Bunny ( there were several size variations) around l962 Mr. Ed the talking Horse made the toyshop scene- also by Mattel . they used a Chatty Ring which actualted a friction spring driven phonograph, and presumably indexer as each phrase was different. The Chatty Ring was also used with Chatty Cathy. There were, as with the animal toys, considerable variations with the Chatty Cathy dolls including, a positive note here- even a Russian version with talk records in Russian, presumably a Russian costume with hat also. and why not- there are several variants on Catherine in Russkie- Katya, Katrina (not the storm) even Katrinka). She of All the Russias!

Many of the dolls are valued in price close to $85 each. The amount for the doll will vary depending upon its condition and how it is being displayed.

I'm not sure how much a set is, but spooky hollow dolls are going anywhere between $2 and $40 that I have seen.

I do remember a Winky doll fad in 1960 (or thereabouts). I was living on an army base in Japan and went to the PX to buy the Winky doll--looooong line! It was black fabric with one eye winking and I think hooped ears. Terry

Tiffany is of course a famous Jewelry store. The Tiffany Taylor doll- which could be instantly switched from Blonde to Brunette- sort of like a super-power was made in the seventies and widely advertised on television. The doll had no connection with the Jewelry establishment. She looked something like an idealized Elizabeth Taylor when in the brunette mode- Tiffany Taylor, fun by the sea- one of the verses in the catchy TV commercial. As far as is known, she was not based on a real person- but did look a bit like an Idealized Elizabeth Taylor ( sans campaign ribbons on the sleeves!)
