I once read an article that said nylon tips are better on electronic drums because they

don't get chipped up like wooden tips or possibly drive splinters into the pad.

I personally use nylon sticks, but on my acoustic kit, since the tips of wooden sticks often chip.

A Kevlar snare drum head is pretty hard. It uses the same material put into bullet proof vests.

Idealy any size 5a drumstick 'should' be the same size (if it's not a 'special' 5a, like one custom made for a particular artist or otherwise altered), regardless of the wood it's made out of (especially made by the same manufacturer). However, the weight may be different depending on which wood is used.

Depending on what model you get IE: Catalina club jazz, Catalina club Rock, Catalina Birch, Catalina Maple and so on. Some are a 4 piece sets and some are up to a 7 piece set. Nice drums for the price. You could expect to pay for a new set $599.00 to 999.00.

5AN drumsticks have a nylon tip whereas 5A drumsticks do not.

Sunlight Drum Sets are a nice kit, but If you would like a studio quality kit at a low price, The best kits are from DW, PDP, and Pearl.

Most laser printer drums are coated with selenium. Selenium is a nonmetallic element with photovoltaic and photo-conductive properties that make it ideal for this use.

If your drums are permanently located in one place, and they don't slide around when you play them, then it is not worth buying a mat.

If you go and play gigs or plan to do so, buying a drum mat is as important as your kit. I have played gigs where all there was, was a slippery wooden floor. Luckily I had my mat.

Baskey drum mats are good quality.

Yes. Any electronic drum set can be connected to a standard stereo amplifier although it is not recommended. Standard speakers are not designed for electronic drums and they could damage your speakers if the volume and/or bass is set too high.

There is the bass drum or kick drum which is on the floor that usually holds your toms and then there is the snare which is the center of the drum set. The snare is probably the most important drum in the whole set so it is known as the center of the drum set or kit

I would say if the kit is in good condition and is original, you should be able to get $2500 to $3000 for it. I own an acrylic black kit and a clear blue kit. Visatlites.
