To what extent was the communist takeover of eastern Europe justified?
I've got one big reason, which is that.. In the past the Soviet Union had been invaded twice by Germany; ww1 and ww2. Stalin was a seriously paranoid leader (historians argue that it was mainly because of this that he killed millions of his own people), but in this case he may have been justified in taking over Poland. Stalin wanted and needed buffer states to protect him from invasion from the west, the most important of these buffer states being Poland; simply because Poland acted as a giant land barrier between the Soviet Union and Germany. At the peace conferences in Teheran, Yalta and Potsdam, Stalin argued that he needed 'friendly governments' instated in Eastern Europe so that Germany, or any other Western non-communist country for that matter, could invade the Soviet Union; In a nutshell Stalin created the Iron Curtain and instated Communist governments in Romania, Bulgaria, Poland etc mainly so that Germany nor any one else could ever invade him from the West.

Who was responsible for the end of communism in eastern Europe?
United States. After the Berlin Wall was knocked down in 1989 (which was a barrier between West and East Germany), everything began to change for communist east europe. The USSR (Soviet Union) communist regime collapsed. This was due in part to the U.S. policy of containment (containing communism in a certain country/area), while encouraging democratic reforms to eastern europe. This gave support to the East and hope that they would be free from communist rule, which they were in 1989.

What country claims the most modern resort in Eastern Europe?
For beach resorts, that would be Turkey. In the last few years, they put huge investments in their tourism industry and a lot of efforts in modernizing their resorts. Perhaps the most popular and eventually the best Turkey resort is Antalya. It is a very modern tourist destination, compatible with any Western Europe resorts in terms of attractions, service and prices. Plus, it is spiced up a little with the taste of the Orient. The diversity of products is wide and you can find what you are looking for whether you look for a family vacation or for wild night life.
If you look for something more "inside Europe", Greece and Croatia are the only Eastern countries that can offer high quality tourism products.
For winter sports probably the best resort would be "Bansko" in Bulgaria. It is still in process of development though.

Why didnt communism develop among people of Eastern Europe?
Communism was never really tried in Any country. Russia was called "Communist" but it was actually Socialist. In order for Communism to work, it must be chosen by the people who will use it. Because Communism relies on co-operation in order to work, any time people in power get greedy, it will fail. Also, it can not be put on people from outside. Communism presupposes complete equality among all the people. You go to work, do your job, and take what you need. There is no money involved, and nobody gives anybody a job. People who have good ideas are supported in putting them to work, and every one does what he or she wants to. The thesis is, without money to skew things, people will naturally do what they are happiest doing. There would be no doctors who Really want to be musicians, no natural leaders who are stuck forever at the bottom because the boss's child takes over. People will be happy in their work and, since everyone simply takes what he or she wants, there would be no status symbols. Nobody would drive a Jag when what they Really need is a van. It would result in happy people doing what they love, and sharing equally in the wealth they create. Of course, the lack of status symbols bothers people who like the idea that they can get to the top. Having More than everybody else is important to some people, and they are the ones who screw it up. Russia started out with grand ideas of equality, but the greedy ones among them quickly took all the power and wealth. That's the problem.
