In my case, I was two weeks late and I was still getting negative tests. I just knew I was pregnant though. After 3 weeks late I finally got a faint line. My hormone level should've been doubling every day, so I should've had a positive test after just a few days. (They say it'll test when the hormone is at 25 or more.)

When I finally got an appt. to see my OB, my numbers were only at 170, and I was 7 weeks pregnant. After watching the numbers go up and down 20 or so points over the next two weeks, I was sent for surgery.

If your numbers are so long that they aren't registering on a test even after a couple weeks, there may be a good chance. Also, I started spotting and did so from the time I got the positive test until a few days after surgery. (a couple weeks) Another good indication that things are not right.

You should see your doctor immediately. He/she can test your blood for hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), a hormone that is produced by the developing fetus. Ectopic pregnancies produce much higher levels of this hormone than normal, intrauterine, pregnancies, and your doctor can use this as the first clue.

I ended up taking a HPT at 8DPO and got a VERY dark BFP so I went and got my blood work done that day. My beta results came back 1500!! Well at 14DPO my tube burst due to the ectopic pregnancy that I never knew I had which almost killed me in the process. About a week later they found another baby in my uterus when doing an ultrasound after my beta numbers were not going down but doubling instead. The doctor told me that I must of gotten pregnant back to back because the Ectopic was about 8wks along (they did lab testing on the remainders) and the pregnancy I was carrying in my uterus was only 4wks when my tube ruptured. your question was not very specific, if both fallopian tubes are removed, you might want to try invitro fertilization. your egg and your spouse's sperm can be incubated, then implanted into you, and you will be able to carry the baby as long as you have your uterus. Hopes this helps.

I had a 'normal' first 11 weeks of pregnancy with no bleeding or stomach pains - I did have sickness but I thought this was normal pregnancy morning sickness. At 10.5 weeks I suddenly got some bleeding (light) and stomach pains like period pains. I had a scan 2 days later and they discovered - after some investigation - that it was ectopic although I had not had the typical symptoms. I had a laproscopy when I was excately 11 weeks. I had a 12 week ectopic pregnancy in '04. I had been experiencing pain for 4 weeks prior, saw 3 doctors who blamed my pain on GI issuess, etc. I finally went to my parents geriatric doctor who did a pelvic and sent me for ultrasound. I was sent immediately to the ER from the ultrasound for a ruptured ectopic. Rupture time varies from woman to woman but I was told that I was very lucky to be alive considering the shape I was in and how long I had been experiencing the pain. I lost the right tube and ovary but went on to become pregnant again in 07. The pregnancy only lasted 25 weeks due to incompetant cervix but the baby is fine and now I'm DONE with pregnancy for good! ;p I'm not tempting fate anymore.

It is possible but not likely. There could be a few possibilities. It was not a very accurate test. You did not do it right. Or it could be a little to early for the particular test you took, and the hormones are not in your urine. A store bought pregnancy test will not defintely tell you if you are pregnant in the early months only a trained professional can.

It's different for everyone. For me it was in mt fourth month I started to show. Most women can tell themselves by about 14-15 weeks but it may be another few weeks before other people notice, particularly if you have very good muscle tone, or have a fat layer covering the area.
