But I disagree about rights. If there is a Substitute Teacher's Union or state organization in place, then there are rights. This is very rare. The truth is that a sub has no one to advocate for her or him. Three complaints (perhaps) and you can lose your job, even after years of work. If you are a retired teacher in the district & return to your old school, this of course is different. Everyone knows you. However, if you rotate among all the many schools in the district as I do, you rarely get to know anyone. The complaint arrives, the teacher and principal have never seen your face. There is a vulnerability in this situation that is hard to accept.

To make a Teacher's Day card:

1. Collect some craft supplies. Construction paper or card stock, pens, pencils, markers, crayons, glue, stickers, paint, paintbrushes, sequins/glitter, ribbons, magazines for cutouts, etc.

2. Fold the construction paper or card stock in half, like a card.

3. On the outside of the card, you can write "Happy Teacher's Day, [teacher's name]!", with decoration such as a drawing, painting, border, stickers, design, etc.

4. On the inside, you can write a short note, thanking your teacher for his/her dedication to education, for helping you and teaching you, for making a difference in the community, etc. You could also write a quote about the importance and the value of teachers in society (for example, "A teacher takes a hand, opens and mind, and touches a heart").

5. You can accompany the card with a gift, or just give the card to your teacher.

5. the environment the teaching and learning is to take place

these components need to be combined in an effective way before lessons objectives can be met.
