Yes, Baytril can be used to treat illnesses in cats {depending on what kind of illness it is} However, I would suggest not using any kind of drug on any animal unless you have first consulted a vet.. different medications are used for different things and in different amounts... So what may be ok for one animal may be harmful to another.... please do not self medicate any animal unless you have been directed to do so by a vet.... You may have the best of intentions.... Seizures do not hurt you directly, you can of course get hurt in many ways, like falling and bang your head in the floor or bite yourself (that's pretty common, I've gotten used to it, and have a couple of tricks), but seizures in them selves do not hurt or damage you in any way directly ;-)

Absolutely anyone can have a seizure in their lifetime and not ever have one again. There are many forms of epilepsy and many causes, making it possible to happen to anybody. It is because there are so many causes and forms that one overall label is used to cover them all, which is epilepsy.

Some symptoms occur together in "episodes" while others appear as chronic or persistent. If the herniation is significant it is possible for CSF flow to become partially blocked and further increase symptoms.

To test for epilepsy what is sometimes done is to expose the brain to known triggers for seizures to see if there is a change in the electrical activity so that doctors can find out what causes an particular person to have seizures. Different people will have different causes for their seizures. So if the right trigger is not used during an examination, the person will still have normal brain activity. That does not mean that they don't have epilepsy and won't get seizures. It just may mean that their particular trigger wasn't one of those that were tried on them. As there are many of them, it is not possible to test for them all in one examination.
