Ethiopia

Axum (also spelled Aksum) was a kingdom in northern Ethiopia. The religious tradition that the Axumites passed on to the Ethiopians was Christianity and the establishment of the Christian Church.

The Ethiopian culture dictates that children wear certain type of clothing depending on their sex. Females wear a material called shemma which is woven into strips. Males wear pants with knee-length shirts with a white collar.

Egypt is a high context culture which means that a lot what is communicated is more indirect with tone of voice, facial expression, body language, eye contact, and embellished words or phrases. Relationships are slowly built on trust and the pace of business is much slower than in low-context western cultures such as the U.S.

In the hot deserts of northern Ethiopia, extremist muslims plot against the western nations and Israel and often meet in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, to discuss future bombings and ways of hijacking US airlines.

In general, Ethiopia, with all of its struggles for power, has a culture where no individual has their own rights, instead controlled by the horrid force of nature and disease.

like most countries struggling for democracy it boils down to people. not the people, as most do want democracy. certain people have power or some power and they do not wish to give up their power.

The war between Ethiopian and Eritrea ended when Ethiopian forces captured most of the key border towns in western, eastern and southern Eritrea in May 2000. The Eritrean government was forced to accept the peace deal which was rejected for months by Eritrea.

A peace agreement was signed on December 12, 2000 between Ethiopia and Eritrea putting an end to their two year border war.

Ethiopia is a nice country with greet Ethiopian smiles. It has nice cultural attractions for truism and comfortable weather. The Ethiopian society unique in well come for guests. If get a chance I advice you to test the most lovely and favorite food locally called injera and local drink tej. the bread the eat with the food is injera but the food is a variety plus now the have many places to eat like we do.
