peter is tired of mort goldman mooching of him so he makes a scare-Jew (scare-crow dressed as Hitler) out of his suit so the family go to a second hand store to buy a new one but peter decides to buy some flannel pjamas.

he soon realises he can shock people when he rubs his feet on the carpet so Lois decides to get rid of the carpet when they find an old coin worth 50,000 dollars.The family soon use the money to make a resturaunt called big peteys house of munch but they soon lose customers so then joe asks if his friends can use it as a hangout because the last one became too portorgise.

at first peter thought it was great but then he realises that all joes friends are all parapalegics so he tries to stop them.after a big fight with joe and the other cripples peter breaks his leg and has to be in a wheelchair for 2 weeks. peter finds out how hard it is to be in a wheelchair so he goes and apologises to joe for being a jack*ss.

Although it should be said, that the family doesn't really get famous within the plot of the episode. Sure they put out some records but the episode doesn't focus on any outside fame they gain from becoming a band.

No. Nothing about the origins of Family Guy was based on anyone's real life.

The origin of Family Guy was Seth MacFarlane's student film called The Life of Larry that he created while attending the Rhode Island School of Design.

We know Joe was paralyzed in 1996 as stated in 'Joe's Revenge' & hadn't walked in 15 years as said in 'Believe It Or Not Joe's Walking On Air'. Since the episode aired in 2012, and was probably initially created closer to 2011, even w/ Family Guy's floating time line this still works.

We can narrow down Joe's age down since we know (also in Joe's Revenge) Kevin is 25 and as seen in the Thanksgiving episode flashback, was (for easier figuring) 5 years old in the first grade so that would make Joe around 30 when he was paralyzed & around 26 in the flashback... so that would make Joe's age unofficially around 46.

Naturally though since the aforementioned floating time line, Joe's age can range by years depending on the scenario.

There's no such character named Toby. You're referring to Bruce whose ancestor was named Tobi.

Bruce however has not been given a last name.
