What job is better Air Force or FBI technical anaylst?

FBI Analyst, hands down, though the AF is a lot easier to get into.

The Justice Department has arguably some of the best benefits in the Government, and especially the FBI. By contrast, the military branches are a lot more subject to budget cuts. Bottom line is that no one wants to rock the boat at an investigative agency.

The problem with getting into the FBI is that you need to have a much cleaner background (virtually spotless) than you do for the Air Force, or any military branch for that matter. A 4-yr degree is also required.

Assuming you pass the initial polygraph (which has a very high rejection rate percentage), you still need to get through the exhaustive Background Investigation that follows, and the FBI has one of the most intense, more so than the CIA or NSA.

Once you're in though, you have so many more opportunities for career advancement and further education than you would in the military. The other caveat is that if you don't like the job, you can leave.
