To find fafnir u have to follow a certain path in the paramina rift..Speak to Relj to make the blizzard appear in Paramina Rift, then from Mt. Bur-Omisace, head to: Freezing Gorge -> Head of the Silverflow -> Icebound Flow -> Karydine Glacier -> Silverflow's End. This path is the only way to continue the blizzard and thus the only way to find Fafnir

You can find most spells in Doga's Village down on the Surface World. Otherwise, normal spells (by that I mean level 6 and under black & white magic) can be purchased at normal towns in the magic shop and level 7 & 8 black & white magic can be bought at Doga's Manor. Long answer:

Before the destructions of Zanarkand, the people living there (this was long before Tidus, or even Jecht) dreamed up the dream world Zanarkand, the world that never sleeps, the world that Jecht and Tidus was born into. So really, he was a dream figure that visited the real life via Sin (his father, who wished Tidus to experience the real world). When the end came and Sin was destroyed, the "souls" that dreamt up the dream Zanarkand were able to stop dreaming, which means all dream figures (including Tidus) would disappear. Thus, he first became translucent, then faded away.

In Final Fantasy X-2, the memories gathered from the people he knew and the pyreflies projecting his images were able to create the actual Tidus, the one that they were familiar with. It is theorized that the attraction pyreflies show to the energy of strong memories is not restricted to the Farplane, nor are the spirits of the dead necessarily required to manifest their spiritual energy in order to interact with the living on physical terms. This is the the reason why the ending was the way it was, because Tidus was able to be generated with help of those who knew him best.

If you have gone through to memoria the mobs inside are better than grand dragons but not as good as the Yans.

The DS version was more focused around developing your five main characters fully by using the augments, and by having a new game +, and then a new game ++.

The lunar ruins on the other hand was part of the GBA version, which allowed you to use most of the temporary characters again, and had ways of developing them.

The two systems didn't really mesh. Having the main characters get the augments didn't really mix with one where the old characters could still be used. Taking your main team through the game three times didn't really mix with having to deal with 10 characters and a huge dungeon where virtually none of the items you got could be carried into the new game +.

So they went with the exclusive Augment system and dropped the GBA Advance version's specific areas.
