How many 18x18 tiles will you need to cover 400 sq feet?

Each tile is 2.25 sq ft (1.5 x 1.5 ft), so you will need at least 177.77 tiles. (400/2.25)

Depending on the exact width and length, you will need enough to use partial tiles along one or both edges. An optimum length or width would be one that is exactly divisible by 1.5 feet. If the tiles have a pattern that runs in one direction, you may not be able to use them along both edges, so ideally you should pick the direction that uses the largest percentage of the cut tile, minimizing wasted tiles.

Example : a square room 20 x 20 requires 14 tiles by 14 tiles (196) directionally, but only the absolute minimum of 178 if tiles can be cut into thirds and used on both edges.

Grouting intensity number in rock grouting?

The Grouting Intensity Number (GIN) involves the energy expended, which is grouting pressure P, and the grout volume injected V. The product PV is called the Grouting Intensity Number or GIN. The volume may be unitized to the length of the grouting intervals as liters/m (or interchangeably as weight of cement injected in kg/m, since for moderately thick mixes the numerical values are similar within 5 to 10 percent). The pressure has been used traditionally as bar, resulting in P-V or GIN units being bar liter/m

Figuring how many tiles in an area

Pretty straight forward math homework...

Grab your cell phone calculator & here we go

area is figures as Length X Width (LXW)

10 X 14=????

each tile is 2 sq feet

8ft 6inx12ft rect floor how many 6inx6in tiles fit?

heres the math you do it..

area is calculatde as Length Times width= Area (in Sq ft here)

8' 6" is 8.5 feet

12' is 12'

so looks like 8.5X12=??SQ FT

so how many 6x6 tiles in a sq ft?

one sq ft is 12"X12"= 144 sq inches

one 6X6 tile = 36 sq inches

so divide 144/36 & that will tell you how many tiles in a sq ft

almost done

take the sq feet of your 8.5X12= (Sq Ft)/ # of tiles per foot= your answweer

I bought a flea fogger to fog my 2500 sq ft house and 1 can will cover 4000 cubic feet how many cans will I need.?

OK we have sq feet but we need Cubic feet, so all we need to do is multiply sq feet times the ceiling height & that will give us cubic feet..

assuming most homes have 8' ceilings it would look like 2500 X 8=20,000 cubic feet in a 2500 sq ft home.

divide 20,000 by 4000 cubic ft per can & you will need 5 cans.. hope that helps

How do you install carpet in basement floor?

Carpet install on CONCRETE

Carpet in a basement assumes that it is a concrete sub floor..

Either glue it down.. Very easy!!!!! go to the Depot & buy a trowel & some carpet adhesive

Or

Tackstrip & pad then stretch the carpet just like anywhere else.. Seams are tricky & setting the tack strip on the concrete is about as much fun as a root canal.. Think about letting a pro install carpet on a concrete floor...

Look on youtube there are some good free how to install videos out there
