When Tim Tebow set the single game rushing yards record for a Florida QB in 2007, it was Rentz record that he broke. Rentz ran for 109 yards in 1967 in a 35-0 win over Tulane. The Tulane game was the first start for Rentz as Eckdahl had started the first three games of the season and lost the starting job after a 37-6 loss to LSU.
Rentz completed 80 of 140 passes in 1967 for 1031 yards, 3 TDs, and 9 INTs.

While these two universities are both Florida public universities, they are completely different schools. The University of Florida, nicknamed the Gators, and the tougher admission of the two schools, is located in Gainesville, Florida. Florida State University, nicknamed the Seminoles, is located in the state's capital, Tallahassee.
The University of Florida is a FABULOUS school! Not only is the school spirit incredible, academics are top par and competitive. Some professors are award winning and world renown. ACCENT and student government productions brings in very interesting speakers, musicians, and entertainers (Bob Saget, The Mythbusters, Lil' Wayne...) Athetics are unbelievable. The Swamp was voted the most intimidating college venue to play at by Sports Illustrated. Alot of things on campus are student run and very effective. The school that started residence halls strictly for honors students. Very prestigous school. A degree from UF is looked very highly upon. Depends if you like this type of school or not if you dont you wont like it. It also depends what you are looking to do in this university if it doesnt have your needs it might not be the best for you. US News & World Report ranked University of Florida 49th out of 130 "Tier 1" schools with a "score" of 56 out of 100, a respectable ranking. To give you some feel for the scoring, Harvard scored 100, Carnegie Mellon scored 75, Boston U scored 50, and the lowest score was 32.
