What percentage of the News Viewers watch Fox News?
Although Fox News is generally the most-watched cable news network, it is difficult to answer this question, since TV ratings focus on "dayparts"-- hours in the day when people view their favorite programs, as well as the total number of viewers; the measurements also look at "demographics"-- the age groups that watch a certain program. Fox News is the clear leader for cable news viewing in total audience, often getting double the number of viewers of its nearest competitors, CNN and MSNBC. It should also be noted that the Fox audience skews older than the other networks-- the average viewer is over 65 years old. A typical Fox News hour can draw as many as 3 million viewers.
But if there is a major breaking story like an earthquake or a plane crash, the ratings show that large numbers turn to CNN, which takes the number one position during such times. It should also be noted that compared to the broadcast network newscasts (NBC Nightly News, for example), both Fox and CNN have much smaller audiences-- the average audience for the NBC Nightly News is 7.5 million viewers, for example. I enclose a link to a site that carries both broadcast news and cable TV ratings.

Is Fox News a National Security threat?
Well known for spreading dis-information concerning global climate change, unsubstantiated rumors/stories with a negative slant on any and all Democrats and liberal/progressive ideas. Pro Republican in the extreme. Basically a shill for politically slanted news stories promoting GOP ideals or candidates, and smearing liberal/green movement/Democratic ideals or initiatives. A hindrance to economic progress and jobs creation (The Green Initiative has already created thousands and thousands of jobs). Pollution and CFI's would increase if all of their ideals were followed as if best for America. Hence, if Global Warming is a threat to all life on the planet, and the EPA were crippled to the point of being ineffective (as Fox News puppeteers would like), they would be promoting an anti-climate and anti- life agenda. Divisive and a hindrance to general progress, only aiding wealthy groups and big business desires (which are decidedly anti-labor and anti-education). They seem to exist to foment the public's mistrust of at least half of the lawmakers and leaders in the United States.
Disruptive to America being "One Nation", you have to take sides to agree or disagree with their hate-filled views. Ruled by Big Money which has always been pro Conservative and anti-liberal. Should be downgraded to a "talk show and editorial channel". News makes up less than half of their programming.
In short, being only pro-wealth and pro-GOP, they only represent 10% of America's population. If you aren't rich, they only want your vote for all GOP candidates. Since the GOP wants all government aid program's budgets slashed to the bone, they are an enemy to everyone middle class or lower, the elderly will suffer if Social Security is privatized, poor children will get under funded educations, in effect, the majority of American's are not served by Fox News'
political agenda. GOP should be classified a threat, as well.
Is Fox News airing a special about Obama on Sunday night?
No channel, because this refers to a very old myth from circa 2008-2009. Supposedly, Fox News was going to show a documentary that told the "real truth" about Barack Obama and revealed "secrets" that would damage his political career. No such documentary existed, nor did Fox News ever agree to show one. Plus, contrary to what you may read on anti-Obama blogs, there are no "secrets" about the president, and Fox News does not have any information that they haven't already reported.

Does FOX news have conservative anchors?
FOX News is generally regarded as a conservative, pro-Republican television network. While some of their news anchors (Shep Smith, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier, for example) are known for being fair and not very ideological, their evening commentators like Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, and their weekday morning program "Fox and Friends" are identifiably conservative and often promote Republican causes or disseminate Republican talking points.
It should be noted, however, that even on Fox, some commentators are more conservative than others, with Bill O'Reilly at times being more libertarian than conservative. Fox does have an occasional liberal (usually a centrist Democrat) as a panelist or guest, and sometimes news anchors invite Democratic politicians on the air for interviews. But in general, the vast majority of what is on Fox News conforms to a pro-Republican set of ideas and principles.
A salary of a news anchor all depends on how well you are at what you do. If you're just starting out you make $15,000 to $18,000 dollars per year. It also depends on where you are reporting from and what news station you are reporting for.

Why is Fox News not on Sirius online radio?
I am curious about this also. When was this posted? I asked the folks at "listenercare" at Sirius why I couldn't get Fox News online. They said it was because Fox didn't want to be "online". These low level employees suggest Fox doesn't want to have access to this large audience of listeners because it's not part of their business plan... Really?!! So all the other news stations are online, and Fox, one of the most popular news stations, didn't want to compete on the same playing field as all of the other liberal leaning stations, huh? Right! I have searched for this on Fox and other sites why Fox News isn't online. Perhaps because of reasons such as the liberal leaning of Mel Karmazin, and others on the Board of Directors? Just saying...

Is Fox News fair and balanced in your opinion?
No, not at all. The network is identifiably conservative, and is known as the media arm of the Republican Party. But Fox came up with an excellent positioning strategy, playing up the belief of conservatives that the media are all liberal (they are not... they are generally corporate) and offering an alternative to the supposed bias of other stations. Of course, critics would say Fox substituted one bias (a conservative bias) for another. But that is not the point. Since it went on the air, Fox News has become highly-rated and profitable, as well as very effective at promoting the Republican perspective on most major issues. Fox does have several very well-respected news anchors who are fair to the facts-- Bret Baier and Shep Smith-- but as a whole, Fox News does not try to hide its pro-conservative bias, nor should it have to. It is what it is, and it has carved out a very successful niche.
