When you have a brush active, go to the toolbox. About the middle is a drop-down menu. From there you can select the dynamic that appeals to you, or create one of your own.

There's a specific command for that under 'layers'.

You can also do it in the layers "toolbox" (wrong term- but the stuff on the right side of the screen)

Very many image editing and viewing programs can save .ico files which are used by Windows OS for icons.

Among these is The GIMP.

You can select the part of the image you want to sharpen and click on the sharpen tool or you can just click on the sharpen tool and use the brush to sharpen certain areas.

Try the <esc> key

Select the object you want to cut out with the rectangle, circular, lasso, paths, magic wand, color selector, or smart scissors tool. Then you want to hit your delete key and this will make the selected part your background color. If you want the selection transparent just add an alpha channel to the layer by right clicking it and select "add alpha channel".

with photoshop u can do all the things..take a nude photo and take a simple photo..cut the face of simple photo and put it up on nude photo..and for further process check adobe photoshop ..

The beeping noise is your computer's error sound. It in fact has nothing to do with GIMP. It won't beep when you give your computer something to backspace.

Get into 'curves' (under colors).

note that your pointer becomes a dropper - when over the picture.

click on a piece of skin.

Note that curves now shows a level of each color for that point.

NOW - and this is just approximate =

if green is 82% of red

and blue is 91% of green

you'll get a pretty good skin color.
