its a weird question kuz i have bought this gun from people for like 20 bucks but have 12 bodies on it so i sold it back for like 30 and if the ain't no dead people thaat have been killed by it then prolly about 100 bucks that's a iffy and it has to be emackulent and a brand new look to it for 100 buck if not and all banged up 50 or 60 bucks bro it ain't that good of a gun

Simple - as in every other such situation - They didn't sell enough. The model was identified as a "competition" model. By reworking the concept, they achieved the same benefits with the G 34 - the gun I shoot, and the parts are interchangeable with a Model 17. They can compensate the 34 since there is a cut out on the slide, it comes with a 4.5 pound trigger, though the model is clearly labeled for competition so as to reduce liability issues over a light trigger. The primary benefit with the 17 L is that with the longer barrel it has a greater velocity (fps) than with a shorter barrel. That is not a real plus in GSSF type competition. Lower recoil is preferred, but the trend is away from compensated models over secondary issues and concerns. Short answer ? They didn't sell enough. If they had, they would still be selling it.

The Glock has 3 safeties and they are all passive. There is a trigger safety, a firing pin safety and a drop safety. This is to prevent discharge of the weapon other than a purposeful pull of the trigger. The Glock is a combat pistol designed to go bang when you pull the trigger. There are no stock external safeties though a gunsmith can install a thumb safety that is an after market part. The best safety you have when firing any firearm is the one between your thumb and middle finger and your brain. Follow the 4 rules:

1. Treat all guns as loaded

2. Do not point a gun at anything you're not willing to destroy

3. Do not put your finger on the trigger until you're sighted in on your target

4. Make sure you know what you're firing at and beyound.

A list of names of all the coalition countries is engraved down the top of the slide; "Operation Desert Storm/January 16-February 27, 1991" is engraved on the right side. The left side reads "New World Order/Commemorative". The first 15 Desert Storm Glocks were special presentation models and had the special "bright black" finish. Yes and no. The Glock does not have an external safety that is operated by the shooter. The safety mechanisms are controlled by the trigger, and function when the trigger is pulled. If the trigger is NOT pulled, the safety mechanisms prevent the firing pin from moving forward and striking the cartridge. However, if a Glock has a cartridge chambered, AND you pull the trigger, the gun WILL fire.
