Valve covers might be a tad leaky, that's what my prob was on my 1996 i had to get new valve cover gaskets they arnt that much and if you know a lil bit about engines and their anatomy you can DIY to save money for labor

IAT stands for the Intake Air temperature sensor. It is usually located in the air filter box or on the snorkle going to the throttle body

I have fixed several of these. However, you will have to give a little more detail so we know what the actual problem is.

possibly use a long wood screw held in vise grips/heated red hot and then plunged into the sensor's remaining part...let cool and try to retrieve.

yup i looked it up for you. I don't know the year you have or are swapping parts with but generally corresponding years have same fuel pumps. also assuming engine size is similar. since they are GM products you'll find that the only difference between the 2 is the sticker

GM says 40 psi; personally I have one of the engines that never had the bearings matched on the mains and rods -yet- when I hit the mountains with regular 5w30 it drops to 25psi I use 20w50 full synthetic Mobil one or Valvoline syn no more metal shavings on oil pan bolt still knocks on start up though

It is in the power distribution center under the hood. It has a black cover and on the inside underside it will tell you where everything is located. First you need to spray a small amount of carburetor cleaner in the intake to see if it will run. If it does Not then the problem is NOT fuel related. If it does and dies, you will need someone to crank the engine while someone bangs on the gas tank. If it starts and runs then the fuel pump is DEFECTIVE.

You put the truck in park with the key on, but the engine off. Then set the parking brake. Next flip the headlight switch from 0 or complete off position to full on at least three times or as many times as it takes for the horn to automatically honk at you. Then drop air out of the left front tire by pressing on the valve stem until the horn honks again. Now reset the tire pressure to 30psi. Next repeat the deflate, honk, reinflate procedure exactly as described above for the left rear, right front, and right rear.

You have what is called a spider fuel injectors and it is located up underneath the intake manifold. You have what is called a spider fuel injectors, that is located under the intake manifold.

1.) Start by cleaning out the glove compartment and get your self a stool to sit on outside the car with the front passanger door open.

2. Have a 1/4 inch drive set as well as a 5.5 mill socket. Be sure to have a trouble light.

3. Open the glove box door and remove the cable on the left hand side. Do not break it. You will need to pull the tab on the outside and slide it through the opening. The door will come down and might even fall roight off.

4. You will be looking at a the blower motor. It has a cover on it which provides insulation and sound deadning. Push on the bottom of the cover with your right hand, and pull the bottom of the cover off the tab that holds it in place.

5. Pull the two wire off. The black is negative, the other is the power. push the wires aside. to allow you to pull the top of the cover off the tob tab.

6. Side the cover off to yhe left and down. It will be tight, but it will come off exposing the blower motor.

7. You will need to use the drivers to remove the hex head scews. You will need a driver for one of them do to the tight space. At this tme also remove the small hose between the blower motor and the air chamber.

8. The blower motor will be free. Simpley pull it out and rotate to get it out around the dash frame. This is a good time to wipe out the air box with a clean rag.

9. You may need to remove the grouning tab by taking the screw out. If your new motor does not have the tab, simply place the old on on the new motor. The hole should be there in the same location as the old one to receive the screw.

10. Put the new motor in the opposite way. You will have to rotate it in place to clear the dash frame. You may also need to cut the end of the little hose to fit over the new new port if it is equiped with one.

11. It took me about 1-1/2 hour including time for a sandwitch.

12. I also removed the right vent which was not required. Be careful with that vent because it is integrated with the small panel below it. The small panel has one screw to remove and then you lift the panal up. It has three slots which hold it in place, so be sure to raise it. Do not pull it.

13. It was not a very difficult task. Good Luck, and take the time to place some soft material around the dash edges to get rid of the squeeks in the dash.
