How long do fantail goldfish live?
Goldfish lay eggs when water temperatures and other conditions are right for them. They do not give birth to babies. Goldfish as well as many other fish species spawn in the spring.
Why does my Goldfish keeps opening mouth at top of tank?
the real problem is either a fungal infection sealing its mouth or something similar

7. Fused Mouth!! Yes sometimes a) a fungus, or b) eating too much hard food (which will scrape the skin on a goldfish's mouth) will cause the fish's mouth to fuse -- partially or FULLY shut !! It will easily cause death, because the fish cannot breathe! (they bring the water through their mouths and it filters oxygen through the gills that's how they breathe. If their mouths are fused shut, they die). This is what I have done to save them and it must be done CAREFULLY and respectfully. Sterilize and then wash off an exacto or small sharp knife, get some salt (table, kosher or aquarium). Take the afflicted fish out of the water, secure it gently and carefully with gloved hands or something just as gentle, and cut open its mouth (to its original, natural size) along the natural mouth lines. You can determine the natural mouth lines by gently squeezing its jaws to open the mouth if it is capable of opening, even a little bit. Then when you have cut open the mouth to its natural size, rub some salt on it, to keep the cut from healing. If you are lucky, you will be able to do this on the first try. Once you finish this operation, observe the fish carefully for the next 24 to 48 hours sometimes the mouth closes up again, and you have to re-cut and re-salt it. Ugh! This is the only thing I find that works. I was hurting, the fish were hurting, but it had to be done (or they would die) Once they totally healed from this, their lives were saved and their little mouths were able to open fully again! Miss Moustache, and Mr Bee all had to go through this, sometimes more than once, when they were very small fish. So, if you keep the hard food away from your fish, they will run less risk of fused mouth.

Depends on the fish. If its a Goldfish, Zebra Danio, cichlid, betta or others like them then yes, but mollies, platys, Guppies, and many others are live bearers and the fry are born free swimming. meaning that A) you can actually see them and they look like fish, and B) they are born able to swim freely.

anywhere from 25 cents for a feeder fish (will only last a few weeks.... >.<) to 100 dollars for large and beautiful fish. I would recommend a small ryukin for about four dollars that will grow very large. Buy an ammonia test kit though, I have had big problems with ammonia.
How long should you turn on your air pump in your fish tank for?
It is cruel to keep three goldfish in a tiny 1 gallon tank. Turning on an air pump will only result in the fish suffering for longer before they die. Goldfish grow to around 10 inches long so 1 goldfish needs a minimum of 10 gallons. There are basic rules all successfull fish keepers use. The first is "1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water" the next is "all water containing aquatic life must have a constantly running cycled filter." and the last of the three main rules but not the least is " All occupied fish tanks need to have at least 50% of their water changed weekly." If you observe and follow those basic rules you will have happy and healthy fish. Failure to keep any one of them will eventually result in problems and dead fish.

Not necessarily - if you completely remove all the water, you could lose most of your beneficial bacteria that helped to establish your tank when it cycled. If your fish died from something parasitic, then yes, you need to clean absolutely everything. If it died due to a water quality issue, then no.

Yes, since they are part of the phylum osteichthys, meaning bone-fish, they do indeed have bones. No matter how miniscule. So yes this fish does have bones.

Having your goldfishes tail turn white could mean your goldfish is sick but it could also just be new tail growth.When goldfish grow new tail tissue it may appear white or grayish.This usually happens when a goldfish isn't fully grown .If it is new tail growth than it will be on the end and tips of the fish's tail not the whole tail.

This will certainly depend on what you mean by irritated. If the fish is swimming quickly and flashing or rubbing against things in the tank, this can be a sign of parasites. It can also be a problem with the water quality, so this should be tested to check for the levels of ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates which should be 0, 0, and less than 10 respectively; if it is higher, you should do a 50% to 75% water change.

Depending on how large of a section has been bitten off, the fish in question should be removed and put in a more shallow tank by itself for the tail to grow back,for the most part once a fish is injured the other fish will not leave it alone, also the risk of infection is quite high which will not do the injured fish any good, live plants will provide a safe haven if the injured fish is too survive in the existing tank provided the tank has been running a while. If your guppy is in with just guppies,and you have live plants also in your tank the chances of the tail growing back are very good. - Cloudy eyes - Not moving when you tap on the tank/bowl
- Gills not moving - The fish hasn't moved position for a few days - There may be signs of the fish getting moldy if it was dead for a longer period of time -Bettas usually sink down to the bottom of the bowl
If it's floating at the top of the tank, it is unfortunately dead.
