How do you eliminate a Yamaha golf cart govenor?
I wouldn't take off the governor, but you can loosen it. It sits on the rear end of the drivers side, and it's simply a bolt and nut that the looser you make the nut, the more speed you'll get from your cart.

Are Affinity golf clubs a good beginner's set?
Golf is a difficult game. You should want to make golf as easy (less frustrating) as possible. There are a number of companies that develop club technology specifically for beginners. Affinity is not known for its quality of products as compared to Adams, Cobra, Callaway, Bridgestone, Nike, etc. To maximize skill and fun on the course you should purchase the most amount of technology you can afford. I would suggest to a beginner to buy a lightly used "game improvement" set of clubs from a well known/ good quality manufacturer over a new set of Affinity clubs. Although they will be similarly priced, the amount of technology is incomparable between a reputable company and cheap big box store brands.

If a ball is struck towards a water hazard and cannot be found what is the ruling?
The key thing is you must know that the ball has went into the water hazard. If it has done so you either play another ball from your original positon, take a two club drop from the edge of the hazard or on a line with the pin and where the ball entered take the ball back as far as you want. There is a one shot penalty for hitting it into the water hazard.

How do you determine golf shaft stiffness?
It is imposible for me to tell you how stiff a shaft you should use because I don't know your swing speed. Golfers who swing the club at a faster speed in the downswing (faster swing peed) will require a stiffer, and possibly heavier shaft, whereas a golfer with a slower swing speed may need a more flexible and possibly lighter shaft.

When do you use the approach wedge?
An approach wedge is simply another name given to a gap wedge, it usually has either 50 or 52 degrees of loft. It fills the gap between your sandwedge and your pitching wedge, you would use it if you are too far away to use your sandwedge, and too close to use your pitching wedge. You can use it for pitching, chipping and long bunker shots. As the approach wedge has a mid-wedge loft spin rates are rather high.
I would suggest a firmer golf ball. They tend to bounce further on frozen ground. Softer golf balls give less of an advantage than in the summer because they do not compress as much when in contact with the club during cold weather.

What club to use out of fairway bunker?
A golfer can use any club from a bunker really. But in green side bunkers there are two clubs that are mainly used are a sandwedge and lob wedge. It really comes down to personal preference, length of shot, lie and height of bunker lip to which club is selected.
Sandwedges are 54- 56 degree and lob wedges are 58-60 degree, the loft helps get the ball up in the air quickly. Wedges also have bounce, this prevents them from digging and also helps get the ball up quickly.

Why are there 18 holes in a game of golf?
One hole on each 18 Green A professional golfer once told me there is eighteen golf holes because there is eighteen shots in a bottle of Whiskie! Have you heard the 19th hole? It's a bar, why do you think they call it that!
The Old Course at St. Andrews Scotland originally had 22 holes. Musselborough had 6.
When the Gutty ball became popular, the shorter holes at St. Andrews became too short for the members of the golf club so it was shortened to 18 holes. This became the standard.
ANSWER
Shots of a certain drink had nothing to do with the number of holes of golf we play. That is a lovely little story that the Scots invented, probably to appease the people who kept asking.
Truth of the matter is, a tradition course is 18 holes because St. Andrews is 18 holes and that is where the R&A is located. The number does not mean anything really as there is no rule that a golf course must be 18 holes. As a matter of fact the British Open between 1873-1889 was played on Prestwick which had 12 holes, St. Andrews with 18 and Musselburgh which had only 9 holes.
Even to this day one of my favorite courses in Scotland Shiskine has 12 holes.
