Billie Joe was the youngest of 6 children in a working-class family from Rodeo. Billie Joe singed a lot as a child and when he was 5, he recorded his first song, Look for Love. When Billie Joe was 7, his cat Zero died in a washing machine. Things started to go wrong and on 15th of September 1682, his father Andy died of a cancer when Billie Joe was just 10. That shocked the whole family and hurt Billie Joe very much. The same year he first met Mike Dirnt (Michael Ryan Pritchard) Later, his mother Ollie fell in love with another man. Billie Joe and his siblings hated him but she married him and Billie Joe was very angry. He wrote his first song, called 'Why do you want Him?' when he was 14. His father's death and his mother's marriage hurt him a lot and soon he loosened at school and started to take drugs. they called Him 'Two Dollar Bill' because he was selling joints that costed 2 dollars.

Not exactly. Green Day has said before that they're not ska, but some of their influences are (example: Operation Ivy). On tour, they have horns, which are very commonly in ska. Look up "King for a Day" on Youtube and make sure you pick their performance video. They probably like ska, but their music (most of the time) would not be considered ska. Also, the song "King for a Day" is to the tune of a song called "All Things Considered," by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, a ska band.

No. Green Days American Idiot On Broadway Does not block out all the bad words. it consists of many profanitys but is still quite entertaining i recommended it for 13 and older.

I dont know when you sled this question, but Green Day won't be playing any shows until their next album comes out. I'm positive that it wont come out for at least another year or more. But the last time they played in Denver was on August 28th 2010. I was there :)

Green Day had a Broadway show in America called St.Jimmy and it was inspired by their album American Idiot. The band didn't actually play in the show but front man of Green Day Billie Joe Armstrong acted as the lead role for a while.
