Can you cross breed a guppy with a platy?
yes, sometimes you can. It just depends on how mellow your betta is, and if you have enough planting in your aquarium so the platy can hide ( just in case). I would also recommend you get more than one platy, again just in case. For the most part though, they should get along pretty well, just keep in mind that no matter what you put in with a male betta, it won't like it, they like to be solitary. I hope this helped!
Can guppies breed with neon tetras?
You have to put them in a big tank at 70 to 75 degrees.Males blue line are straighter and slimmer. Females have their blue line curved. No heater needed.Filter is not needed because the fry gets sucked.Dont feed parents during breeding.Feed them a good amount before breeding.
What should you do when your guppies and tetra fish just had babies?

Can guppys and goldfish be together in a tank?
Hope this helps ;)
Do guppies lose their gravid black spot before giving birth?
No, what you are actually seeing when looking at the gravid spot is the eggs inside the mother fish. The gravid spot does not go away until the mother has given birth to her young. The spot will get very dark before the fry are born, because they will begin to hatch out of their eggs before the birth.
Would seven guppies do okay in 2 gallon tank?
1 inch of fish per gallon so you about 18 but you will have the guppies eaten or the goldfish's fin bitten off as goldfish like to eat fish that are smaller than them (other than goldfish) and guppies are fin nippers so I would be careful or not keep them together
good luck
you can't force them to breed but you can put 2-3 females with 1 male in a separate tank and eventually you will get fry(babies). In my tank i have mollie fry and previously had platy fry whish has now grown up and are adults
Does neon tetra fish eat guppies?
No, probably not. They're just as small/ smaller than guppies... however...
The Neons are a shoal fish and like to be kept in groups of around 6 or more. If they're in smaller groups they will be nervous and would probably nip on the guppies fins. If the fin nipping becomes serious enough the guppy could die.
Can glow in the dark guppy fish be in the same tank as a betta fish?
Not unless you want the guppy thing to be eaten.
Why are your guppies keep dying?
The basic rules of fishkeeping successfully are. :- 1 inch of fish needs at least 1 gallon of water. Every tank needs a permanently running cycled filter. :- Every tank needs at least 50% of its water replaced every week. They are the basics which MUST BE KEPT for all kinds of fish. Then there are the variables which depend upon the species of fish. In your case you have Swordtails, which are tropical livebearers. They need to be kept at around 70F to 75F, and their water should be around neutral which is pH7. They like medium to slightly hard water around 5 GH. If you are not keeping your fish according to what I have just advised, simply doing so and correcting where you are missing out will fix the problem
Is a betta fish a tropical fish like guppies?
Yes, Bettas much prefer temperatures above 75 degrees.
Bettas are tropical fish, and need to be in freshwater, when using tap water let it sit there for a day when you know you're gonna do a water change the next day.

What fish and critters can I put in a 27 gallon tank with guppies?
You can add Guppies, Mollies,Neon tetras, algae eaters, sword tails, and African water frogs (also known as African clawed frogs, but they don't claw the fish)to name a few.If you do add an African water frog, be sure to have a lid on your tank. To add flair, you can add mystery snails, clams or ghost or cherry shrimp. You can also put an angelfish or angelfish pare, but to be on the safe side, don't put anything to small in with it because any fish that has a mouth big enough to eat another smaller fish will usually eat it. Fish do all have their own unique personalities though, so if you get a shy angel he might not bother smaller fish. angels can get 7-8 inches long and 10 inches tall.If you plan to get mystery snails, don't add a clown loach because they will snack on the snails.

Green Spotted Puffers (and most other puffers) are nearly impossible to breed in captivity, and exact procedure has never been recorded. Puffers lay eggs, they don't become "pregnant". Why are all my baby guppies female?
The male guppy would not (highly unlikely) kill the female on purpose. When this situation happens though, it's usually because of an imbalance in your aquarium between male and female fish population. The golden rule is 2 female for 1 male fish, otherwise it's likely that the male fish will "harass" the female fish, which will make her stress out and eventually die.
Does a female betta get pregnant on there own?
Male is required. some info on bettas breeding: This Betta species is a Bubble-nest builder. There are many ways to set up a breeding aquarium for the pair, and not enough room to supply details on them all. There are two popular ways to breed the Siamese Fighting-fish- in an aquarium specially set for the pair, which should be at a volume of at least 20 liters (5.2 gallons), and the Thai-way, which uses large Plant-pots. In any of these ways, the fish must be conditioned well before introducing the pair. Conditioning is made by feeding the fish live or frozen foods about two to three times a day, and making frequent water changes. Conditioning should take about two weeks at least, and can take up to one month, depending on the food quality and water temperature. The breeding set-up, in both ways, should contain lots of hiding places for the female, and some floating plants for the male to build its nest. If floating plants aren't available, you can use a halved Styrofoam-cup. Water temperature at the breeding set-up should be in the range of 28-30oC (82.4-86oF/ 301-303oK), and it is advisable to place a tight fitting glass-cover on top, so that the air above water will be hot and humid. Using an aquarium, the female is usually placed in a clear chamber, so that the male can see her, but can't touch her. Once the male has built his bubble-nest, he will start courting the female.
there are types of Grouper but there mainly in Saltwater. in fresh you can only find them in a few lakes none of witch in united states

Will the adult guppy eat all the baby guppies?
The male and female will both eat the babies if they get the chance, but the female is the worst for it. Many people use breeder nets - put the mother when she's very pregnant in a separate aquarium inside a net that she can't fit through but that newborn fry can. When she gives birth, they swim out of the net and she can't eat them.
FYI guppies don't get pregnant, they don't have a placenta. They actually incubate the eggs internally. Look up the term Oviparous.
My solution, 40 years of experience, Grow a thick mat of Elodea. Elodea provides hiding places for the young fry as well as food. I keep several aquariums with out filters or air stones. Grow the plants using fluorescent lamps such as the four foot shop lights. The closer you imitate nature, the healthier your aquarium will be
