NO ! NEVER mix species together UNLESS they're found in the same environment naturally !

Technically, they were never wild. They were born sometime in the 1900's from mice.

It is not a good idea to put those together.

If you're a beginner, I'd recommend a Chinese Dwarf hamster. They're very sweet. I have one myself, and practically never bites, unless you either force her to or she's in her cage and you leave your finger in front of her mouth for too long.

If you're a little more advanced, I think you should get a Roborovski (Robo) hamster. They are very active, they're the smallest breed, and they're so chubby. Unfortunetly, they do bite very commonly and are very hard to take out of their cages. They seem harmless at first, then become one of the devils side kicks. I used to have one, but died at 6 months (I have no idea what happened) , but still, I know that if you want to calm one down while it's in your hands or just want to have an excuse that you should keep it in your hands (Or keep it if your family was talking about sending it back to the pet store) you should try holding it up to your chest gently, and petting their back or rubbing their cheek pouches. They love that, or at least Cookiedough (my old Roborovski I was talking about) did. But when you stop, they'll immediately wake up, and if you don't do something fast, could bite you. Another thing about Roborovskis is that they could get very hyper, more hyper than usual. If you're planning to put a Roborovski in a cage with bars, don't. Why? Because that possibly caused my old hamster to be climbing the walls and ceiling (not what she normally did) and she died the next day, while I was watching the first showing of Rio, at New York. I was the first one to see it, besides everyone else in the theater. But still, I shouldn't have put in all the details. So let's put it this way: Chinese Dwarf hamsters are for beginners, and Roborovski hamsters are for the extremely advanced.

Hamsters can eat some vegetables (including lettuce) every second day. Avoid giving too much lettuce because they can become sick.

They would eat them but that doesn't make olives good for them. Black olives have a high fat and salt content which is why animals like them so much but the last thing you want to feed your hamster is high fat/salt foods. Fresh veggies (there are exceptions on which ones), pelleted hamster food and timothy hay are pretty much all you should be feeding them according to my exotic vet. Never feed dwarf hamsters fruit or carrots as they are high in sugars and dwarf hamsters tend toward diabetes.

The guinea pig is bigger and has a longer life span (4-5 years). They also have a larger diet. They will eat any type of vegatable. A gerbil is small and has a life span from 2-3 years, sometimes 4 years. Gerbils do not like all vegatables. I wwould call them picky on their food. I know this because I have had 8 gerbils and 1 guinea pig that is probably like 5 years. Still alive. But you can tell its old. It's had 2 strokes! But it got better on it's own.

A termite is an insect which eats wood and may infest homes. The insect in question numbers among the members of the Isopterainfraorder and seeks for food sources animal dung, leaf litter, and wood on the ground and elsewhere, inside and outdoors.

Guinea pigs may live 8-10 years if in good health.

It depends on which size you need.....if you have a dwarf hamster, you need the smallest one, which is around £6, the rest are a small amount higher than that, so I'm guessing about £8..hope this helped ♥

Male hamsters cannot give birth to a baby.

Normally you cannot tell the age of your hamster unless you bring it to a vet which can be very costly for a small exzamination. Teddy bear hamsters are sold at around three months old in bought at a pet shop. If it is big and has large genetal organs, it is probably from 6 months to about a year old. If it is smaller and seems very active, it is probably still a baby(between 3 and 6 months). If it big and has grey hair on the nose or face it could be an older hamster(1 to 3 years).

Clean your hamsters cage at least every week if not every 3 - 4 days. Another thing you can do is buy fragrence smell its pretty cheap ($3 - $5 dollars) and it will help your hamster.

NO! My Winter White just got her leg tangled in it, it blocked the circulation and she might loose her leg. There are many other reasons why to not use it, so stick with other bedding.

yes they do get along. Just make sure the bird doesn't mess with the pig too much or it will make the pig angry. Pigs can't really see so it will be okay.

You should NEVER give your hamster a bath. They clean themselves. If your noticing odor buy some chinchilla bath powder and just let your hamster be in it. But you never give a hamster a normal bath!

You can't 'make' your hamster poop. By feeding it and giving it water it will naturally need to go to the toilet. However if the hamster is constipated you should feed it some greens, and if this doesn't help after about a week you should take it to a vet.

the hamster would be fine. but if you give your hamster too much paper to eat it can cause ill or maybe die or get sick.

yes hamsters can eat icberg lettuce. it may not completely fill their little tummy but it will give them something to snack on. I've been feeding it to my hamster and she was fine. You could give it some iceberg lettuce but not too much.

Yes, they are very nice. However, before you buy one make sure it does not bite because somtimes they are aggressive. And never hand them treats while they are in their house, then they will bite your hand when you reach into their house to pick them up. They are great pets for kids, as long as you don't get an agressive one and don't ahnd them treats in their house.

Hamsters sleep in the daytime, which means they come out to play at night. They like to sleep in a closed area, possibly a little house or mini cave. Hope this helps! :)
