When trying to sync your Sony television with your Videocon rote, refer to the owner's manual for both devices. If the devices are not compatible, you will not be able to sync them.

There are media player software that allows you to play blu ray movies and Mac Blu ray player software can do the job so efficiently as it not only plays video movies, music and audio but it also supports photos (Bonus!) and specially it supports all the formats.

It is the lvds cable on the t-con unplug it, and take the back off. Reseat the lvds cable at the very top of panel at the T-CON . It is a bad connection.

A 12,000:1 contrast ratio is good, but a 50,000:1 would be better.

All TV have software that runs. A real SONY Bravia only runs on SONY software while the fakes will have the software of a different brand. Most fake SONY Bravias are Chinese. It is possible to identify a fake one when the television is turned on and it has a different font writing from an original.

This is a matter of personal opinion. I personally think that Sony manufactures the best televisions. I have a Sony and a Samsung, and I think they are both good.

LCD television uses liquid crystals that turn on and off to build an image across the screen. The crystals don't emit any light themselves so they need a light source behind the LCD panel. The light source has been fluorescent until recently, but newer models are introducing LED lighting as an alternative to fluorescent.

A true LED television uses the LEDs to generate the picture directly. For each pixel, a red, a green and a blue LED are needed. Unlike an LCD television, each LED generates its own illumination so there is no additional light source needed.

True LED televisions are making an entry into the home market, but the technology has been around for many years. The large arena screens that are seen in concerts and sporting venues are also LED displays. Although rather too large to fit in most homes, they operate on the same principles as the new domestic LED televisions.

Some video cards do, and some video cards don't. You can buy a vga -> dvi adapter, though.

There are several differences between UK and US televisions:

First, UK power supply is 230V and North America is 115V. Although some UK televisions will operate on 90-260V, not all of them do and it may require a transformer or other power adaptor to even power up.

Standard definition video signals use different color encoding. Again, some modern UK televisions will decode NTSC color (the North American color system) but not all of them.

HD signals do not use the same color encoding as as SD but the frame rates are 60Hz in the US, 50Hz in the UK. Some but not all televisions handle both frequencies for SD and HD.

Tuners are not compatible. A set top box will overcome this one and they can be purchased for as little as $30 for SD terrestrial receivers (Similar to the UK Freeview set top boxes). Cable and satellite receivers will also overcome the tuner problem but with the issues mentioned above, you may still not get a working system.

The cost of televisions in the US is considerably lower than the UK. By the time you have invested in transformers, color transcoders and external tuners, you are very close to buying a new HD television in America. Even better, you don't have the investment in time trying to figure out what you will need to buy and how to hook it up. And rather than paying to ship a British television across the Atlantic, you get to sell it and get more money towards a brand new American model.

We bought a 32" LCD from Costco that is 1080P and the picture and sound are terrific. It was simple to install (HDMI) and looks great. I wish they made larger models than 47" because we would be buying one of those too!

his depends on what type of monitor you are using. If it is a CRT (the big long old one) or a LCD (newer flat screen). If it is a CRT, then the monitor is going bad, and you need to replace it. If it is an LCD, then it is probably just a color setting.

An aspect ratio is the width by height dimensions (the ratio) of a display screen. It's often used in terms of a movie screen, TV, or computer monitor. The standard aspect ratio for television is 4:3 (aka Academy Standard or 1.33:1). In other words, if the width of the screen is four inches, the height would be three inches. If the width is eight inches, the height would be six inches. If the width is 16 inches, the height would be 12. Wide-screen television broadcasts and DVDs are 16:9 (aka 1.78:1). Modern movies are either 1.85:1 (aka Widescreen, Academy Flat or Academy for short) or 2.35:1 (aka Panavision, Cinemascope or just Scope). Technically, Panavision is 2.39:1, but is still commonly referred to as 2.35:1. There are also quite a few aspects that have been used by the movie industry, but are no longer used.

There is no simple answer to the question. The best model is a personal preference so make sure you experience as many models as you can.

When you have tried several models and several glasses you will have a much better feel for the make and model that suits you best. Your own experience is far, far more important than any manufacturer's hype.
