Can a humidifier cause headaches?

In my case, yes.

I have problems with migraines, though generally under control with medication.

I bought a humidifier. I had it by the bed and used it during the night. My skin felt great - I started getting chronic headaches. At first I attributed it to increased stress. I took off four days from work, did a little retail therapy, felt better. I realized I hadn't used my humidifier (off routine), so turned it on - woke up with another headache. (as in go to bed fine, a migraine wakes me up in the early morning hours) So, research and talking to other migraine sufferers supports I'm not the only one to have a humidifier induced migraine.

Hope this helps

6 months ago right after unprotected you had your period a week early one big spill 1 day and NOW you had a light period period for only one day headaches puke early in the morning weird feelings preg?

It would be a really good idea to go to your local GP for a Urine Test. Tell the GP exactly what you told WikiAnswers. They are bound to be able to help you. Once you have had the Urine Test. The GP's will take a look at the test. I guarantee you that the test won't have a result on the spot. It could take a week or so for the results to be in. Remember contact your GP immediately, because this could end up serious.

Does stress cause headaches?

Yes.

In regard to tension headaches, one of the reactions stress brings is muscle contraction, sometimes even spasm. When the stress causes muscle tension to build up in the neck and scalp, a tension headache can be caused. That is just one reason. You must also think about all the smaller reasons - like not sleeping well, not eating well, etc.. that can bring about a headache.

In regard to migraines, stress can impact you both directly and indirectly. Directly, because the physical changes brought on by stress can impact your body. And as with tension headaches, you have to look at how you are responding to that stress. Sleeping consistently - both by going to bed at a certain time, and by getting the same amount of sleep - helps to prevent migraines, and is significantly important to those who suffer from cluster headaches.

People have also gotten migraines from the ending of stress. Meaning, they might have a particularly hard week, but once they hit the weekend - THEN they get the migraine. This is because of the physical change in body chemistry that happens with stress ends, and your body has to react to a whole new set of changes.

Indirectly stress also has an effect on migraines, because stress as a whole lowers your threshold for any other migraine trigger you might have. For example, perhaps you can normally stand 5 hours under fluorescent lights. Being stressed might lower that threshold down to 3 hours. Or, as another example - you might normally be able to tolerate a certain amount of MSG in your diet without getting a migraine. Under stress, your body might not be able to handle it.

Am feeling tired and sleep and a bit headach and a pain in your back are you pregnant?

It doesn't necessarily mean that you are. The back pain comes later in the pregnancy and by then you would know if you were or not. If you feel you may be pregnant, buy a pregnancy test (they are very reliable these days) and make sure!

Can dental work cause ear and head discomfort that lasts for years?

I thought I was going crazy until I read this thread. For almost 5 years I have been suffering from a fullness in my left ear, ringing, tingling, pressure, pain...it all began shortly after extensive dental work and the eventual removal of a tooth. I have had an MRI, a CT. They checked for sinus infection as the sinus sits right on top of where your molar roots are. My ear feels bad some days, worse others. It's so frustrating and anxiety producing. They've ruled out acoustic neuroma, TMJ, cholesteatoma...yet no relief! When I inflate my eustachian tube, the air doesn't rush out, more like a tire deflating. Does anyone out there know what is wrong? Sinuses, teeth extractions and ear problems are interrelated...and I can't get my life back to normal. I'm as confused as you are...maybe someone knows something out there.

It is possible that the dentist that pulled your tooth left the peridontal ligament in and it is producing a low grade infection. Do some research on jawbone cavitations and see if the symptoms correlate with what you are experiencing. These cavitations do not show up on regular xrays and MRIs and the patients are at a loss at getting a diagnosis and eventually a cure. IF you research cavitations, there are internet sites that will direct you to a knowlegeable dentist that can help you. It could be something else to but I have heard of dental work causing the pain you are describing and there are qualified dentists that can help. Usually mainstream dentists deny this condition but it is very real. Here are some helpful web sites http://curezone.org/dental/dental_neuralgia.asp http://www.dentalwellness.net/forumhttp:// http://www.apothecure.com/DAMS.htm I would look for a holistic dentist Good luck to you

Is there any possible cause or explanation as to why a 17-year-old male would still be affected by motion sickness in the car enough that it gives him a headache and can cause him to vomit?

You need to see a doctor. You could have an inner ear problem. Sometimes the doctor will put a plastic shunt in one or both ears (my 18 year old nephew had this done and it doesn't hurt). It's up to the doctor to diagnose this. Meanwhile you can get medications for motion sickness and more people have it than you realize. HINTS: Never sit in the back seat of a car and sit up front with the window rolled down slightly. When flying try to get a seat behind the wing of the plane (less turbulence.) If you have to take a ferry or are on a cruise then they provide seasick pills for you. There is one that is a Chinese Herb that some cruise lines carry and it works like magic. Can't remember the name of them. It doesn't cause drowsiness and gets rid of that seasick feeling quickly. Don't forget to see your doctor and have your ears check out because your equilibrium is off. Good luck!

Sinus headache why is your teeth numb?

Many teeth go up into the facial cavity, near the sinuses - in fact the canine tooth sits just under the eye. It's therefore understandable that problems with the sinuses and a sinus headache could 'refer' their pain or even numbness to the teeth. It could even be that the problems with sinus headaches are really coming from toothache - so it may be worth a trip to the dentist!

Why does the smell of new carpet make me feel sick and give me a headache?
