Heaven and Hell

The concept of "Heaven" as envisioned by Christians and Moslems is pretty much absent from Buddhism.

• In Heaven you get as a god or goddess: so there is no almighty god.!
• You won't born just like Humans instead generate spontaneously.
• In Heaven you aintain an awareness of self: In the Buddhist Nirvana self is finally conquered and you have no independent existence
• You gain entrance to Heaven by a combination of belief, good works or divine intervention: Buddhists gain Nirvna by enlightenment which they guide by themselves
• Heaven is a reward for a good life: There is no deity to reward or condemn you
• Belief in Jesus is NOT required for entrance into Heaven: Jesus is not a part of the Buddhist belief system.
• You go to Heaven or Hell after one life.but small amount of people successfully reach their.
• In Heaven you have long life expectation and no fleshy body.
• There are 6 Heavens other than what Christians believe.
• If you want to reach the heaven .you ought to gain as much as good Karma.
• According to Buddhism ,one universe consist 31 levels where different kind of living live.there are
• =4 Hell realms(Hell,Animals,Ghost,Asura)
• =Human realm (there are 4 Human Worlds)
• =6 Heaven realms.
• =20 Brahma realms. (this is not what Hindus believe,it's different in Buddhism)
• According to Buddhism, the greatest place to born is Human-World
• cause that's where you can ONLY enlighten.!
• because only human worlds have well balanced ,happiness and sorrow other every worlds consist unequal happiness and sorrow ,examples all upper levels of human worlds more have happiness and when it goes up the sorrow is really low.but happiness is really high.when you reach the lower levels of human worlds,there are more into sorrow.! the worse place is hell. there you pay for your bad karma.to enlightenment you need well balanced happiness and sorrow.if you have more happiness ,you will never understand the truth behind this world cause if you have happiness what's the point of struggle to understand anything.if you have more sorrow ,you can't concentrate for meditations which is required for enlightenment.so well balance is required.!

There are as many levels to heaven as what you think there are. It is your choice to believe or not to believe.

Heaven is one place, there are no levels according to some views. But let us go to the Bible because it is the infallible Word of God.

1st heaven (earth): Look at Genesis, "Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waterswhich were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. God called the firmament HEAVEN . . . " (Genesis 1:7-8) Earth was the first level of heaven. Jeremiah says this, ""I beheld, and indeed there was no man, and all the birds of the HEAVENS had fled." (Jeremiah 4:25)

2nd Heaven (space): Look at Deuteronomy 10:14 tells us: "Indeed heaven and the highest heavens belong to the Lord your God, also the earth with all that is in it." (Deuteronomy 10:14) This heaven is space where all the stars and galaxies were created.

3rd Heaven (Paradise): Look in Corinthians 12:2-4 "I know a man in Christ who fourteenyears ago - whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows - such a one was caught up to the THIRD HEAVEN.

"And I know such a man (speaking indirectly about himself) - whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows - how he was caught up into Paradise (where God is located, see Revelation 2:7) and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter." (2Corinthians12:2-4)

From Islamic perspective: Quran reveals that there is seven heavens. The lower heaven being adorned with lamps. Each higher heavenly level is greater than the prior one. Allah's Thrown is in the 7'th heaven.

The lower heaven is what we call outer space with it's stars and suns. The Quran teaches that each heaven has boundaries, so even space has boundaries. Some of the Jinn are waiting at the boundary between the first heaven and second heaven for News of what's to happen. Then they are repelled with fierce projectiles of fire (what we consider to be comets).

Different answer by Angela...... My deceased mother visited me in a dream to tell me that she wasn't with her mom in the after life. In my dream I became very angry and told her to call and let me talk to someone. She dialed the phone and handed it to me. A woman answered and asked her to speak to the supervisor. A man came on and said he was the manager. I asked him "Why hasn't my mother been reunited with her mother in heaven? This needs to be fixed immediately"! He said, "I'm very sorry but there is nothing I can do because there are different levels, 12 of them to be exact. There is no need to be upset, this happens to most people. It is determined by the lessons you learned on earth and the length of time you have been passed away. Even if someone has been deceased longer it doesn't necessarily mean they are on a higher level. They can be on a lower level than a person that just crossed over yesterday. For instance if the person that recently crossed lived a full life and learned what they were supposed to and the person that has been crossed over for a decade but went long before their time by committing suicide for example." I can't remember the rest verbatim since it's been over 10 years but he went onto explain that it was like grades in school but eventually everyone will end up on the same level. Many will say this is just a dream I am sure but I can assure you to me this was the most realistic dream I had ever had up until that point. I have had other visitations from my mom and my brother and I can tell the difference of when I just have a dream or if it is what I call a visitation they are more vivid then any other dream. I can remember a visitation dream I had from my grandmother at 4 years old and I still remember it like I had it yesterday.

The writer of Psalm 139 seemed to think so.

7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. (Psalm 139:7, 8 KJV))

Additional Comments:

Yes but an understanding of the terms translated hell is in order. Both the Hebrew and Greek terms translated into English as hell simply mean the grave or pit - the common faith of all mankind. In this sense and the sense of Psalm 139 is that no matter where man is, so is God.

Jehovah's people do not believe that Jehovah is 'omnipresent'. The Bible teaches that Jehovah has a 'place of dwelling'; (which in human terms) is simply called, 'the heavens of the heavens'. (Even the term 'heaven'; 'place' & 'dwelling' are not really adequate to describe the realm where God exists.

Jehovah does not NEED to be 'everywhere' to know what's going on; Just as you don't need to be present in London in 2012 to see the Olympics. You can see them right from your 'place of dwelling', thru special means (cameras and TV screens.) Therefore you may still use the expression: "I saw the London games," without actually being 'present' at the games.

Secondly: God is NOT in Hell, because the Bible 'hell' is NOT a place or eternal torment. That is not a Bible teaching but has its origins in ancient non-Bible people. The Bible 'hell' is really only 'the common grave where all mankind goes upon death' anyway. And God is NOT 'present in death'. Jehovah is not 'alive' and 'dead' at the same time.

Thirdly: Jehovah God is NOT 'present in' Satan. But God can certainly 'see' (to use a human term) what Satan is up to.

Explanation: Jehovah God exists OUTSIDE the Universe, which he created from himself. God is not limited by needing 'light from the sun'. He is not limited by 'the speed of light'. God can travel faster than the speed of light (if he wishes, or IF that term 'travel' even applies to him.)

This is where 'the holy spirit' (no caps) comes in. The holy spirit is NOT a PERSON, but is a 'force' that eminates from Jehovah. By means of his 'force' he is able to see all things; notice all things; guide all things; create all things; and destroy that which he sees fit to destroy.
