All who go to hell will be in torture. Many persons believe that there are degrees of torture in hell. A satanist would probably be subjected to severe torture because he was a helper to Satan.

First of all, according to the Bible, Satan was forced to leave Heaven, not Hell. Second, Satan will not punish people in Hell. He will himself be punished in Hell, along with everyone else who ends up there. There are many misconceptions about these things that are often portrayed on TV and in magazines, etc. Another fallacy is that Satan is ruling Hell. The Bible does not teach this. It does teach that there are demons that are following Satan right now, on Earth, but once they are in Hell, they will not have a kingdom of any kind. They will be suffering.

The God Family lives in 'eternity' and in the spiritual realm called Heaven where the Throne of God is. King David comments on this in one of his Psalms:

Much of belief about hell is entirely irrational. To burn, or even to feel pain, you must have a physical body, but we all know that our bodies either lie buried in the ground or have been cremated (burnt). Whatever punishments people choose to believe exist in hell, it is hard to give credence to literally burning in hell.

You make hell into heaven when you turn away from sin, repent and do penance. You are thus following the plan of God for your life, and as it is He who made you the way you are, His plan is probably the best of idea. If you do that, and try to follow His Will in your life, then you are making Heaven right here on earth. The definition of heaven is being with God, and as soon as you are baptized, you have God within you, the only way that you lose Him is through sin, so continual repentance is necessary and prayer.

If you commit suicide, it is self-murder. You are dead... and you go to the grave (Hebrew: sheol, sometimes in the KJV translated, hell).

The question begs of a judgment on the act of suicide (heaven or hell). The Bible prophesys of a coming "resurrection from the dead" when all the generations of men will face their Creator and give an accounting of their works to Him.

A judgment shall be rendered at that time for the suicide.

"...I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened... The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in those books." (Rev.20:12)

According to the Bible, all humans die and their bodies go back to the Earth and their 'spirit' goes back to God until the time of Judgement when it will be put back in a new body to stand before Jesus in the process determining either their eternal destiny as a son/daughter in the God Family or the 2nd and final death in the Lake of Fire (see Revelation 20 and 21). So your family and friends are waiting just as my family and friends are and everyone else's. No one but Christ as mankind's 'firstfruit' has ascended into Heaven (John 3:13). Even King David, beloved of God, is dead and buried awaiting his call to Resurrection (Acts 2:29):

The Bible does not say that Jesus was executed on a cross, why do all the churches that claim to teach and follow the Bible use a cross and adorn their buildings with the cross and use it as a symbol of their faith?

When the Apostle Paul visited Athens, he took the message of Christ to the marketplace where a wide variety of people could be encountered. Among those he talked to were Epicurean and Stoic philosophers. We read about his encounter with them in Acts 17.

Who were these Epicureans and Stoics? I'd like to give a thumbnail sketch of their ideas about God, man, and the world which will help us understand why Paul what he did.

Stoicism and Epicureanism were philosophies which were developed to free people from the concerns of the present life. Stoicism was materialistic and pantheistic. That is, Stoics believed that everything was composed of matter. The higher form of matter was of a divine nature, and it pervaded the universe. They called it various things: fire, Zeus, or even God. They believed that this divine "fire," or God, generated the universe and would one day take the universe back into itself through a great conflagration.

Stoicism is the practice of believing in Stoic philosophia. You read about the Epicureans and Stoics in the 17 chapter of the book of acts where they engaged Paul. Both Epicureans and Stoics are believers in Athenian Philos-Sophos doctrine. Philosophia is the assembly of two Greek words Philos and Sophos. Philos means great love or affinity for and Sophos means knowledge. Where this might sound harmless on the surface, that's because most Christians are unaware that the goddess athena (for whom athens was named) was the goddess of knowledge. Philosophia doctrine is therefore the worship and testament to the goddess of Athens - Athena. Plato even writes of the goddess Athena.

The Apostle Paul warns in Colossians chapter 2 for Christians to beware of philosophia doctrine as it can easily be used to deceive them. The word philosophia is only used twice in all biblical text, once acts chapter 17 and the other in Paul's rebuttal to his visit to Athens in Colossians chapter 2. Stoicism is a form of Athenian philosophia doctrine which believes in life after death. It was derived by a student of Socratic teaching named Zeno. The Epicurean belief does not support life after death. Probably the most interesting fact concerning Stoicism is that it is the base doctrine for all Communism, Socialism, Progressivism and Liberation Theology. Hegel used the Stoic version of philosophia and honed it for modern use, this is what he taught his students which include the likes of Bauer, Sterner, Feuerbach, Marx & Engels. Darwin used this same Stoic belief and its dialectics, to establish his theory known as the origin of the species. Most of those who claim to be Atheists are not Atheistic at all, but believe in some form of Stoic philosophia doctrine and commonly use its dialectics.

The clever self appointed Sage of Stoic doctrine, do all in their power to hide the fact that Stoicism is based upon Athenian philosophia doctrine. However any good researcher can trace the origins of the Stoics right back to Athens and back to Athena the goddess of knowledge. In Athens the Stoics were highly acclaimed as the instructors/teachers of the day, especially the Sage (highest form of a Stoic). Most university education systems of modern day are based upon the teaching and subject matter offered by the Sage of Stoic philosophia doctrine. Professors will vehemently argue this point, however simple research proves it out to be true in every single case. Stoicism is most likely the single largest doctoral belief in the world today as most modern religions have adopted some form of Stoicism into their religious practice. Even Christians have adopted a version of Stoicism into Christian worship known as Liberation Theology, where biblical text is reinterpreted using the dialectics of Marx & Engels, which is exactly what Paul warned would occur in Colossians chapter 2.

An excellent question and one deserving of being presented to Christians who wish to avoid the grip of false doctrine. You will find it eyeopening that the government of the United States has adopted Stoicism as our national religion and even written laws to forcefully assimilate to Athenian philosophia based Stoicism.

Stoicism is a philosophy which stems from ancient Greece in the third century BCE. Stoics taught that bad judgement resulted in destructive emotions and that one should strive to not succumb to undesirable emotions. (Hence the word, "stoic.") They believed that one should have a will that is in harmony with nature and that how a person behaved is more important than what a person espouses.

The Bible does not clearly speak of three resurrections. The Bible is not clear but seems to speak of two resurrections.

Jesus alludes to a twofold resurrection in John 5:25,28,29

This is stated simply by Paul in Acts 24:15

Act 24:15 Having hope in God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection of the just and unjust.

I.e. resurrections of the just and the unjust.

Paul implies in 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 that those who are not "in Christ" will not be raised at the same time as the redeemed/those "in Christ". Possibly this is also in 1Corinthians 15:20-22.

Secondly Christians do not believe in "instant happiness in heaven" or "instant punishment in hell". It appears from the Bible that the resurrection of the just does not occur until Christ returns for His people and THEN they go to "be with Him".

The resurrection and judgement, to eternal death, of the unjust appears to happen just before the heavens and the earth are purged with fire and God makes all things new. THEN the just will have eternal life with God and the unjust will have eternal death, separated from God.

The bible is very clear about where the spirit goes after death of the earthly body. The righteous go to Abraham's Bosom to await judgement day. The wicked go to Hades (Greek word for hell) and also wait for the judgement. People are not allowed to wander the earth, nor do they interact with those that are living.

So how to explain the thousands of people that see or experience other-worldly spirits, many of whom resemble dead relatives or friends. The bible is very clear on this also. The devil, Satan, ect., and his legion of fallen angels can take any form they want. They also know history of places and people who have previously lived on earth. They have all knowledge of earthly matters. It is not surprising then that they appear to people, giving the misconception that there is no reward or punishment for human behaviour. Human spirits don't linger at the place of their deaths or homes and/or buildings they used to live or frequent. The bible is adament that human spirits are retained until judgement in either of the two places mentioned. If you are experiencing anything paranormal, it has nothing to do with human spirits and everything to do with the 'father of all lies' the serpent we all know as Satan.

The primary Greek word used for grave is 'hades' in Greek and 'sheol' in Hebrew. It simply means grave or pit. The two other Greek terms are 'tartarus' which is only used 1x and is a special place of restraint for the fallen angels. The other is 'gehenna' and pictures the Lake of Fire in the final Judgement of the damned or incorrigible who refuse Jesus' sacrifice for their sins.

It's not just modern professing "Christianity" that holds this belief. Islam believes a version of the same thing, along with any number of other religions in the world; with "some form of ideal existence" in some other place, form, "nirvana," "Valhalla," or whatever. And all these notions of future "heavenly rewards" usually involve some form of "physical pleasure."

The point is, that the Bible reveals the reason for these [different, yet, similar] beliefs among the world's religions regarding "heaven"... although few people are able to grasp it, because they "can't see spirit" [and fewer yet read and study the Bible]. The "spirit" in this case, being Satan the Devil, whom the Bible reveals as "the god of this world" whom the first two people created "chose to worship and obey" in the beginning rather than their Creator.

The "bits and pieces" [written here a little, and there a little - see Isa.28:13] in the Bible that reveal Satan is able to provide everyone with just the god they think they want and need in their selfish hearts and minds -- whatever appeals to any or all of the "five physical human senses." Or whatever appeals to man's natural pride and vanity... as long as it involves "getting something for nothing." With the emphasis on the "getting," rather than "giving."

As for the common belief among the religions of the world regarding "going to heaven":

the Bible reveals it to have originated in the "heart and mind of Satan." NOWHERE IN THE BIBLE WILL YOU FIND GOD PROMISING HEAVEN... nor will you find the phrase "go to heaven" or "when we meet in heaven" or "I'll see you in heaven" or anything of the kind -- except in ONE PLACE! It was the all-consuming heartfelt desire of Satan the Devil:

"For thou hast said IN THINE HEART, I WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN, I will exalt MY THRONE ABOVE THE STARS OF GOD... I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be LIKE THE MOST HIGH." (Isa.14:13-14 KJV)

THERE IT IS! That's the reason the majority of "modern professing Christianity" talks about "going to heaven"... and why the other religions of the world believe it, also. It's because THEY ARE DECEIVED by the god of this world!

"This great Dragon - the ancient Serpent called the Devil, or Satan, THE ONE DECEIVING THE WHOLE WORLD - was thrown down to the earth with all his angels [called 'demons' or 'unclean spirits']. (Rev.12:9 NLT New Living Translation)

The religions of the world ARE DECEIVED BY THEIR GOD! And much of modern professing Christianity IS TOO! It's the FIRST THING JESUS WARNS HIS SERVANTS ABOUT!

"...Don't let anyone MISLEAD YOU. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Messiah.' They will lead many astray." (Matt.24:4-5 NLT)

The "altered, apostate" religious form of "modern Christian belief" that emerged from the "Dark Ages" around the 4th century or so was far-removed from the teachings of the Bible... including the "commanded Holy Day Feasts of the LORD" [see Lev.23]... all of which are "Christ-centered;" and had taken on, instead, the trappings of the same ancient pagan religious rituals and annual dates [i.e. 'Christmas,' or 'Saturnalia;' and 'Easter,' the Babylonian goddess of fertility] that pre-dated Christ's human birth -- calling them "Christian." This, too, is part of "Satan's deception."

"But I am not surprised! Even Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder his servants can also do it by pretending to be godly ministers..." (II Cor.11:14-15 NLT).

Like all the other false beliefs Satan has foisted upon deceived mankind... like his "counterfeit holidays" that misguide and misdirect man's heart and mind AWAY from the "Holy Days" and "Sabbaths" that God commands His servants to observe and keep... so, does his false teaching about "going to heaven" blind men's hearts to the Truth of Scripture's prophesied coming DAY OF JUDGMENT!

The satanic deceptive teaching of being "Judgedimmediately upon death" and going "immediately" to heaven or an imaginary "ever-burning hell" where everything is supposedly molten and on fire, but nothing ever seems to BURN UP [another false teaching], actually NEGATES THE NEED FOR GOD'S COMING JUDGMENT DAY!

And if it takes a person's mind off of the Truth of God... and distracts a human heart from God's Truth... Satan smiles.

And that's why modern professing Christianity "believes" this [and many other] false satanic teaching regarding "going to heaven" -- because "they are deceived" by the god of this world.

No one knows the answer to this question, because living man does not know exactly where hell is located.

The problem is that many theologians throughout the ages have mistranslated the Bible, using translations of translationsand in the process not recognizing that certain words such as "homosexual" were never in the original Greek or Hebrew texts, but added in later European Protestant translations!

As for the Hebrew scriptures' so called "prohibition" of homosexual acts, in Leviticus: "a man shall not lie with a man as with womankind, that is an abomination." This statement was referring to a specific culture at a specific time, in addition the term 'abomination,' is defined and used drastically different in our modern usage than the way in which it was defined and used 6000 years ago, or even 600 years ago for that matter! In the Hebrew Scriptures an 'abomination' was something that defied a health code.

Nothing More, Nothing Less!

The book of Leviticus is a book made up primarily of codes and regulations, which were created for a specific culture, at a specific time in history. In part, these codes were created as a means for the Hebrews to define themselves from other cultures, but the primary reason for the creation of these codes was due to a lack of knowledge in regards to hygeine. Due to this, certain codes of health were developed and were seen as very important to follow to the exact degree. If broken, it was actually seen as a betrayal of your community, even immoral!

Homosexuality, because of lack of knowledge and understanding was categorized as unclean and thus a break of one of the health codes, thus an 'abomination'. However, eating shell fish, wearing fabric made of two different types of material, or eating meat and dairy in the same sitting were also considered "abominations".

Most of these codes are not followed today because we recognize that they are simply health codes that existed solely for that community during that specific period in Hebraic history.

It's fascinating how most 'conservative' Christians have NO ISSUE with eating shrimp or lobster, or wearing polyester and cotton, or eating steak and mashed potatoes for that matter. Yet when it comes to homosexuality, they start quoting Leviticus!

The Hypocrisy WOULD BE entertaining if it weren't so sad and detrimental to the mental health and welfare of so many gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans-gendered people!

For Those individual's who are still confused about the Levitical Codes, I'll reiterate; These codes were created primarily for health reasons, and are NOT to be taken as moral codes handed down by the divine to all of humankind for all of time.

Thus, there is NO "SIN" in homosexuality, nor is there any TRULY VALID prohibition of homosexuality in the scriptures.

Jesus himself NEVER ONCE mentions the issue of homosexuality. Jesus speaks in regards to what he deemed to be all major sins, however, he never once spoke on, or even implied anything on the issue of homosexuality. If homosexuality was a sin, Clearly he would have made some concise effort to clarify that to the people.

God Doesn't make mistakes, and God judges people by whats in their heart.

St. Paul said: "neither male nor female, slave nor free, Greek nor Jew, for all are one in Christ Jesus" God doesn't judge people based on their gender, creed, social status, or sexual orientation, he judges based on who you are as an individual!

God's love is unfathomable and beyond our human understanding, but one thing we do know, is that God is among us, wherever there is love, whether that be between a man and a woman, or two women, or two men. Where love is present, so is God. Remember, when asked what were the primary commandments to follow, Jesus stated,

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart all your soul all your mind and all your strength, and love each other, as you love yourselves"

The truth is that Homosexuality is a natural part of the human condition. It has always existed in creation since the beginning of time. God created all people different, some people were created male, some female, some black, some white, some Asian, some Native American, some heterosexual and some homosexual. We are all given different gifts and talents, and we all have a different hand to play at God's table, which we are all welcome at!
