Hells Angels

The Hells Angels Motorcycle Club was founded in California in 1948. The group's history has been very mixed. It ranges from shootings of rival biker groups to fund raising for terminally ill children. The US Department of Justice, along with several other countries, recognize the Hells Angels as an organized crime syndicate. However, the Hells Angels continue to deny their connections to organized crime. They state that incidents should reflect upon individuals, and not the group as a whole.

Hells Angels Charlotte NC July 4 1979 what happened to the Outlaws?

Sometime between 2 and 5 A.M July 4, 1979, a person or persons approached a small house at 2500 Allen Road South, Charlotte N.C. and murdered 5 persons associated with the Outlaws MC.
The dead were four men and one woman. All had been shot multiple times, and one body had been mutilated. There was no sign of a struggle, and 4 victims were shot "execution style" face down inside the house, while another; apparenlty a prosective member of the club who was salin outside near the porch where a shot gun was found nearby.
Located between a grocery store and a trucking terminal, the house had long served as a gathering place for the Outlaws in Charlotte. Around 5 A.M. chapter president "Chains" Flamont discovered the bodies. No suspects were ever arrested and the crime remains the single event masaacre in the history of the city.
Police at the time speculated that one of two scenarios were pausible: memebrs of a rival mtorcycle club who was at war wth the Outlaws had done it, or two prospective members who were denied membership, came back for retaliation. The second theory was put forth by Charlotte detectives based on the lack of struggle, as if the killers were "known."
Yves Lavigne, the self styled North American "expert" on motorcycle gangs, proposes that "The July 4th Masacre" in Charlotte was only one of four locations targeted nationwide by a rival motorcycle club.
A T.V reporter who interviewed "Chains" Flamont on condition that Flamont's face and voice be disguised, stated years later in a documentary about the crime that Police showed him a reciept for the 17 year old female victim, where one member had "bought" her from another.
With each 5 and 10 year anniversary of the event The Charlotte Observer mnages to trot out a few vague lines.
Yves Lavigne wrote in an earlier version of his book that the Outlaws ruling body suspected it was an inside job, which of course contradicts his later account.
I was there with a friend (Tony) We left around 1 am, At that time there were only 4 people still there (Terrible) Terry Henderson, His old lady (Bridget Bennefield) Outlaw Mouse and prospect (Water Head) who is the one found on the porch. I never believed any of the prev. mentioned reports. I do believe it was an inside job. Carried out by club Prez. (Chains) and club Treasurer (Fat Head) I also don't believe the Police ever really cared about solving the case. If they were why were the last two people to see these people alive never questioned? There are so many many things wrong in the above story. They were not all put face down and executed. Terry and Bridget were found on a sofa. I was there helping clean up that afternoon, A fellow member led me to that sofa and lifted a cushion out, Exposing a large mass of (Terry's guts.) Water Head was on the porch when murdered, Having his throat cut and being shot with such a hot round it passed thru his body and still had the energy too enter a steal piece of roof support on one corner and exit out the other. I would love to see this case reopened and investigated correctly. It definitely wasn't the first time.
